Defending the Nation is a series of informational texts for children that teach them about the various facets of America's federal organizations. I read the book on the FBI.
Hamilton does a wonderful job creating timelines and commentary that provide the reader with facts and background information. The book is crafted in a way that it allows the reader to understand the new information by connecting it to the reader's previous knowledge.
