This is a charming and disarming memoir of a woman who has recorded her exciting and memorable life with the perfect level of detail. She drops a lot of famous names but each one is associated with keen observations and personal experiences. Her descriptions of the current events of her years, enhanced by the knowledge she gained as the wife of CIA chief Richard Helms, gave color to my remembrances of these same events.
