The Elric stories have begun to tie more closely together at this point in the chronology, and this novella deepens the mythology of the lost people of Melnibone, from which Elric is descended. This is also the first formal tie of Elric himself to his place as an incarnation of the Eternal Champion.

A chapbook of the Michael Moorcock novella The Jade Man's Eyes, an Elric story. First edition, 75 pages. Cover art by Jim Cawthorn. Published in 1973 by The Unicorn Bookshop, Brighton and Seattle, which also published titles on survivalism, living off the land, growing marijuana, and other cross-cultural interests of the Sixties and Seventies.
