Aoi House Vol 2

Rate this book
Alex and Sandy are two normal guys just trying to get through college―until their troublemaking hamster, Echiboo, gets them thrown out of their dorm. With nowhere else to turn, the boys move into an anime clubhouse where five crazed yaoi fangirls call the shots! Elle's obsessively high-strung, Nina's too laid back for her own good, Jessica's a total tease, Maria's a shy and reserved bookworm, and Morgan's just plain bonkers! Toss 'em all together and you've got a harem comedy that's truly like none other!

Ah yes, the whole mystery person in a room in the house part, I remember seeing parts of that in the magazines I read. And now I know for sure I wasn't a fan. I loved the idea of a normal house with crazy girls who love yaoi a bit too much, but adding a mystery element to it with some mysterious villain-esque person... no.
I did have a laugh at the date (and felt a bit sorry for Alex, then again he got himself in this mess) and I absolutely LOVED the cosplays and seeing if I could recognise them all. Plus, we learn some more on Yaoi house and how it got made. I had a laugh when one of them pulled the elastic out of Alex hair and turned him into a bishounen and all the girls went mad for him. :P
And we are preparing for con! Yay! I loved seeing what they were making and that movie was fantastic (and a bit bonkers). And later on so many references and I had fun trying to see if I could recognise them all. Yay. That is A LOT of snow, never seen so much but I would probably also make the best of it. Oh and we get some romance/drama. Oh my!
Once again still loving the manga-style art. It is such a playful and fun style.

It's a busy holiday for the students at Aoi House. Alex gets roped in to date with Carlo, resident transvestite and founder of the house. The first con of the year is coming up to, and that means prepping and shooting a film. There's also stories about the power of long hair on guys, and getting snowed in over winter break.

It's a fun volume, and sets up hints of something more. While it's mostly silly, there's also some seriousness as a couple of the girls deal with growing feelings for Alex. Art and Kindle version is just as high quality as the first one. A no-brainer to buy if you liked the first book.
