*I received a copy of The Lightrider Journals by Eric Nierstedt for an honest Review*

Now The Lightrider Journals is not my usual cup of tea, but I’m trying to get into fantasy more and this was a good book for that. When I started reading I was not sure if I was going to like it, because to me it felt like a slower start and wasn’t sure how it was going to transition into what I was expecting. However, once you get a few chapters in the pace really starts to pick up and I got more into the story

I have a weird relationship with Fantasy novels. I either love them or hate them. I really enjoyed this story. You have the Architects of Creation who are the creators of our world. They put together a team of Elemental Knights to fight for the balance between good and evil. Sounds cool right? At first, the Knights have a hard time grasping their new existence and they don't all agree with the task that they are given. They take an oath to become i

Fantasy at its best!

Joe is reminiscing, he once was a son, husband, and father, dealing with all the trials and tribulations which life threw at him, and was totally unaware that he was being watched, but he was, by the Architects of the Universe.

It’s funny how something can change your path though isn’t it? One day, an act of bravery, tragically led to his death, however, surprisingly, it didn’t end there. As they say, ‘Death is only the beginning.’

For Joe learns that he has been chosen by the

This book reads like a movie. It was the first fantasy book I had ever read. I was drawn to it by its imaginative cover, which was explained to me as I quickly flipped through the pages of The Lightrider Journals. The book was not only believable but spiritual as well as suspenseful. The writing is amazingly descriptive which bring the pages to life in your mind. The imagery is so clear, I could see it on the big screen as I flew through the pages. Joe is a character you care about and he stays ...more

Excellently written story. The dialogue is written in a way that the reader can very much identify with . . . I could easily hear the conversations being held as they were written.

Very vivid descriptions of the events and powers in play, I loved the dynamic between the main character and all the others he works with.

Brilliantly written work, and I would love to read any other installments to this series.

I don't want to brag too much, but as I wrote this book, I'm pretty damn proud of it. There's plenty of great fantasy ac

I particularly liked the character of Forger. I am surprised that a spider that spins metal has not already been done.

Eric Nierstedt grew up in central New Jersey, raised on a healthy diet of TV, comic books, and way, way too many books. As a child, he constantly daydreamed about his favorite stories, and re-adapting them to accommodate the early characters he was creating (and really, who didn't think that Lord of the Rings could use more characters?). In high school, Eric started the early drafts of what would ...more
