What can I say other than this completely shocked me coming from Teresa? When she sent the ARC to me I was ready for some kink...and maybe another main character like William Honor that I could drool over for months. Did I get that?? Nope...I GOT SO MUCH MORE!

This was unlike anything I've ever read from her, and while I would be terrified to jump from writing erotica to this, she nailed it. White Trash Beautiful was an incredibly moving story and I felt like I was right there with Cass. You fee

Just a little pleasure reading... I got hooked after reading a sample chapter.

Cass works at small town diner located near the trailer park that she calls home with her drug addicted mother and boyfriend. She feels trapped but isn't looking for anyone to save her. Then one day Tucker White walks into her diner and into her life. Will she take a chance on him or stay in her grim situation out of a misguided sense of loyalty and obligation?

This story was just okay for me. It is described as gritty,

Cass knows something better is out there but DAMN it's hard to see when you live in a run down trailer park working a dead end job at Aggie's diner. Only to come home from said dead end job to a junkie mother and an abusive boyfriend. How the HELL is she supposed to escape this? Can she? Hmph, is it even worth a try?

According to Tucker White you can escape.

Boils down to: I cannot stand Cass. I find NOTHING redeeming about her and have trouble feeling sympathy for her, her self-perpetuating situation, and her pissy attitude. Cass sucks (like a hoover vacuum) and Tucker- dude, goes into a diner in a trashy neighborhood and apparently thinks, "Hey, that girl, with the bruises. She's the one for me, I won't quit until she's mine." OK, he's hot and a rocker, but overall I didn't even like him. Didn't feel lo

I wonder sometimes if something is wrong with me when i read a book which loads of people like but i hate. I didn't hate the book exactly but i did dislike the writing style. It had the same flaws that bugged me in the honor book - it seemed immature, rushed & a bit disjointed.
God did i hate Cass i wanted to

It turns out i am not a very sympathetic person. Her pity parties where often & annoying. Tucker was ok, i don't know why but i couldn't get over the f

I am blown away. I bought this book with no idea what it was about or the author. It was on a goodreads list and I figured I'd give it a try. Let me tell you that I am so thrilled that I did. From the first page, Teresa Mummert had me hooked with the main character, Cass's, heart wrenching story of being stuck in a less than idle life (to say the very least). This is a modern day fairy tale with grit and honesty that I recommend a thousand times over!!!

I love Tucker! Okay, now that its out of the way back to the book. I enjoyed this book, it was an emotional read at times, you really felt for Cass. I was happy with the ending, but I wish it would have given me just a little bit more. It almost ended too abruptly for me. I hear there is possibility of a second book? Bring it on!

There's so many things wrong here that I. Just. Can't. I mean where should I start? Do I go with the doormat of a lead who just takes takes takes it all? Or the knight in shining armor who pops out of god-knows where? And did I mention he's a rockstar? Or do I go with the act... that little makes sense here... his why for her, or his why for him. Or the craptastic situation she's in? And how all she really does is cry?

There's a girl, see... and she's sad and lonely and in t

I really wanted to like this book but the instalove was totally unrealistic.

Cass is trailer park trash and has a druggie for a boyfriend and a mother. Whilst working a shift at a diner she meets Tucker White who happens to be in a famous band.

He instantly falls in love with her and there is absolutely no build up at all but he saves her from all that is her shitty life and they live happily ever after.

Unfortunately I couldn't take this book seriously which a shame because the author does write

All of my sadness and regret washed over me as I struggled to simply let go and just live in the moment. The pain of my life was crushing, and I knew deep down I had made a mistake by stepping out of it and letting myself believe I could have more.

More like White Trash Meh.
To begin, there are a few things that did not seem to settle well with me. So instead of writing in my usual review style, I'm going to go the route of breaking it down into 'BadNews & GoodNews'.
And oh yes. Like 'Hush Hush - Finale', there was a list of things I jotted down while reading..WHICH was done with exceptionally fair remarks! (Okay, not really. It was more like pounding my keyboard in an angry writing rampage.)

Bad News :
- Cass's vocabulary reminded me of an ecstatic 5 year old.
There’s a quote that begins the book:

“I’m not naïve. I know I don’t get the happily ever after. My knight in shining armor took the highway detour around this godforsaken shit hole. I’ve made peace with that. That doesn’t mean I’m going to lie down like a doormat and let every cocky prick in the trailer park have his way with me.”

This is the story of Cass and Tucker.
Cass is a waitress, lives in a trailer park with a junkie mother and even junkie shit-ass boyfriend. Her life is bad, really bad. (And she reminds us that every 5.7 seconds.)
She believes that her life will never be more than that and that’s her sad destiny.

Tucker is the lead singer of Damaged, a rock band starting its rising to stardom.
One day he has a concert close to Cass’s town and goes to the dinner where she works at. H

This is my first book from Teresa Mummert. I had never heard of her or White Trash Beautiful before. But once I saw her Tweet about the book, I was hooked on the name alone~then I saw the cover~then I read the blurb and chapter 1~then I saw that Teresa saw Adam Levine as Tucker and I was a goner!! ;) LOL I had to read it. So when Teresa contacted me about doing a review, I was all over it.

I was so excited when I heard that Teresa Mummert had another novel coming out, I am such a hug fan of her work. I absolutely love the characters she creates! With a title like White Trash Beautiful, how could I not be intrigued! Believe me when I tell you this is another great read from Teresa!

Meh. White Trash Beautiful has all the necessary tools for a potential kick arse story. Abused heroine with a drugged out boyfriend and mom, a dead in job, a potential white knight rock star hero. What we get is a harlequin-esque YA that takes every possible cliche and trope, spins it around a few times, then ends. I wanted this to be good. I wanted this to overwhelm me. I didn't want a foul mouth heroine who indecisive nature causes her to cheat, lie, and eventually allow her beta hero to whisk ...more

I was blown away by this book. This is a bit different from Teresa's other books but just as fantastic.

We have the sweet and determined Cassidy who has been dealt a crap hand in life but does her best to persevere and make things better while being told and believing herself that she isn't worthy or deserving of any more.. but that doesn't stop her from desperately wanting better.
Then we have the sexy and strong Tucker who see's the beauty and strength in Cass as soon as he meets her and has no

The story has an interesting premise, and with the right person writing it, I think it would have been a fantastic read. I'd not read anything from this author before, but her writing leaves something to be desired. The story wasn't long enough to be fully fleshed out, and the characters, especially Tucker, were lacking depth as well. That said, it wasn't an awful story. It just could have been so much better.

While I’ll admit that the title threw me a bit, I was hooked from the first page of this book. Teresa Mummert is one of my favorite authors and she has yet to disappointment me. Cass is the kind of three-dimensional character you look for in every book but seldom find. Everything about Cass and her life are real, from the trailer park she lives in with her mother and abusive boyfriend, Jackson, to the daily grind she goes through just to survive. I don’t know what it’s like to be starving and no ...more

I am doing a ReRead of this book because I received an ARC copy of the new expanded version of this book and wanted to see if I still felt the same way about this book. Review to Come :

I'll start by saying that after reading the new extended version of the book I still Love this book. Teresa Mummert is a very good story teller. This book is so different then the other bo

This book was terrible. I can't believe so many people actually liked it that it's sold at Target. I'm seriously shocked that this is so popular.

No part of this story was developed. It seemed like a first draft- Like somehow the author's planning stages got published. Nothing about this made any sense.

Cass- annoying as all hell. Self-pitying. Her situation was totally self-perpetuated. She was a cheater- I know your boyfriend is an ass, but you're still cheating.

This one falls in the category above..

I liked the story a lot until i couldn't take more of this nonsense..
The beggining is quite good, the story is very appealing, it contains some interesting characters and a few good scenes.. And then well..

The author struggles to make us understand why Cass stays with that monster Jax but i just can't see it.. She loses consistancy because she turns into a

There were two things in this story that I didn’t like and they were at the end. Don’t want to say what they are because that would give away the story.

I'm also not a fan of the author, hate her honor student series but I actually liked this book. I loved Cass. She was such a caring person. She has a lot of baggage but she just does what she needs to do to get to the next day. She was in a sucky situation but I really admired her for sticking around. Life for Cass Daniels has been a series of bad events, her mother an alcoholic/junkie never cared with the revolving door of men in her life, her trailer she lives in with her mother and boyfriend is falling apart, and no matter how had she tries to get ahead it is fruitless. Her boyfriend who meant the world to her when they met, slowly let his path take turn dark and violent, not hesitating to hurt her in his wake. I loved this book!!! Tucker is very much the knight on the white horse. Everybody needs a Tucker, *sigh*. I would love more of Cass and Tucker stories!! I am a little curious about why Jax wasnt turned into the cops for what he did and there were a few other situations I would have liked a little bit more info on, but still give it the 5 stars it deserves!!
