I loved this handbook! It is helpful, easy and clear. I read the whole book in less than an hour. Usually, I don't read art books without trying the techniques at the same time. This time I just wanted to get sufficient background about the different coloring techniques using several mediums including shading tricks. I will start practicing the mentioned methods soon and I hope to get good results.
a short and sweet collection of techniques the author uses to help him render sketches, pastels, and colored pencils, with a focus on nature and still life. it's a helpful individualized technique he teaches, one to make a working model off of, but not one i can see working perfectly for everyone! still, 'tis the nature of art to finding your own path and your own style and your own way of rendering subjects, and it was very kind of this artist to show his own for the benefit of others! :) i recommend!
