I was so lucky to get an in depth book that has me thinking of just where we are headed in our society. The book is Culpa Innata penned by B. Barmanbek – creator of the cult video game by the same name. I finally have a new Sci-Fi best read. Culpa Innata projects is forward to a time when Earth is largely ruled by a one-world union and technology has taken care of just about everything. Very much of how life is heading to in the near future. Meet Phoenix Wallis our window into this new world. Ph ...more

What a fantastic murder mystery! This mystery took place in a Dystopian world, so it combines two of my favorite genres. The characters were so well thought out and developed nicely as the story progressed. The plot was sensational, but you have to be patient with it for the first bit. Simply phenomenal! :)

This book is very refreshing from other novels about the future, it is very well written but is more realistic than others I have read. The settings and people are how I can imagine people to be years from now which is very different than trying to picture the world in novels like 1984 or Brave New World. I am usually able to figure book endings out pretty quickly but this remained a mystery as to the ending. Good read to try out from a foreign author!

I'm not going to rate this because I won't be able to give it a proper rating.

I didn't finish the book, although I read more than my last update, but still.

That's not the only reason, but it's part of it... Let me put it this way, B. Barmanbek can write well. When I notice writing, the reason is either because it's written poorly, or it's written well. In this case, I didn't notice it a lot, but I noticed it enough to think it was written well. Secondly, as I didn't read it all, I cannot say c

This is a book that is Dystopian so you know I would love it. I love how it is written in a way that you jump into it with a character that is fresh out of her graduating class and pushed out in the world to investigate a murder mystery. She thinks that the Union is safe and protects their life as they know it from the outlying rebel areas. I love the characters and it is a raw and gritty version of a future that is much more believ
