About the author

Best-selling author Charmain Zimmerman Brackett won the 2014 Yerby Award for Fiction for her debut novel, The Key of Elyon, and the 2015 Georgia Author of the Year Award for her children's book, Little Pearl's Circus World. A graduate of Augusta College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, she is a veteran journalist and has written for publications such as The Augusta Chronicle, The Signal and Augusta Magazine. She received second place at the Department of the Army level in the Keith L. Ware journalism competition in 2008 for her feature writing. She is the author of three YA novels, The Key of Elyon, Elyon's Cipher and Elyon's Light. Her fourth novel, Fixed in the Tempest,is inspirational contemporary fiction. She's written six cozy mystery novellas under the name of C.Z. Brackett. Little Pearl's Circus World, her latest work, is an illustrated children's book based on the true story of her great-grandmother who started performing in her father's circus when she was 4.

Elyon's Cipher picks up a few years after The Key of Elyon. Stephen & Lucy are headed to the town of Mapleton to meet up with some of Elyon's people when they are stopped by the military. They turn around as if to leave and stop just down the road. They sneak back past the military and into the town....

This book full of action, adventure, suspense and intrigue. There is something for everyone in this book. If you haven't started this series yet, I highly recommend it to everyone.
