At the beginning it was back to back characters, which kind of confused me and it wasn't the main characters that confused me, it was the side characters. I quickly forgot who was who and what made them differ from each other. It was all a grey blur with that and a very desaturated view of the main character. I felt that there was a lot of telling and that's not really my taste. The beginning was slow and I frequently put the book down around those first hundred pages, the next hundred pages gra ...more

I really could not get into this book. Julian is too much, I couldn't even finish it. Not one of my favorites, I;ve enjoyed all the others by this author but this one just didn't do it for me. ...more

I think the author bit off more than she could chew.

There was way too much going on in this 300 page novel. It was hard keeping up with all the characters' names. The main character, Avery, gets into a lot of meaningless relationships under different aliases, which made the story disjointed and convoluted.

None of the characters were likable. I rolled my eyes at everyone. The main character, Avery, he wasn't a likable protagonist. He was cunning and a womanizer. He really didn't have any redeem

I won this book through a goodreads giveaway.

I normally would not have picked this book out for myself - but I am trying to expand what I read.

Going from character to character was confusing at first (I am terrible with names). However, after a while I got used to it!

Pretty awesome book! :)

This book was good and very interesting!! The plot was unique...would make for a good movie...or would, except the ending felt rushed to me. Full of tons of wrongs and very few rights...trying to find self and justify/give value to the perplex troubles experienced from life... at what cost though? Overall, good read...I anticipated a part 2 instead of the ending I got. Could one be on the way?

Didn't like it that much, hated how that kept moving from character to character. Just couldn't get with it. Stop reading after the first couple of short chapters. Might go back to it later just couldn't get with it. ...more
