Les histoires déjantées de Mœbius, parues pendant sa période Métal Hurlant. Cofondateur du magazine Métal Hurlant et des Humanoïdes Associés, Mœbius a profondément changé l'esthétique de la science fiction et les modes narratifs du genre en bande dessinée. Avec Arzach, Le Major Fatal et des dizaines d'histoires (La Déviation, Cauchemar Blanc...), l'œuvre de Mœbius a eu un retentissement mondial, influençant toute une génération d'auteurs en France, aux États-Unis ou au Japon. Désormais l'univers de Mœbius appartient à l'imaginaire du vingtième siècle. C'est ce que permettent de (re)découvrir ces albums, regroupant les histoires courtes et longues publiées par Moebius pendant sa période Métal Hurlant.

Jean Henri Gaston Giraud (pen-name: Mœbius) was a French artist, cartoonist, and writer, who worked in the Franco-Belgian bandes dessinées tradition.
Also published as Jean Giraud.

Along with Gene Wolfe, Moebius is one of those precious few authors and artists in our history whose works you can read thoroughly, many times, enjoy them greatly, yet in the end have very little clue over just what you just read. This one is not an exception. Great art, filled with symbolism and strange surrealism, but the story is-

Wait, it's just a sketchbook? Huh. Could have fooled me.

A coffee-table art book by the great Moebius. A collection of drawings from his personal scetchbook, ads for French companies, galleries and books. It's a read for anyone that wants to know Moebius to his core, not for the casual reader that likes blueberry and happened to stamble upon "Chaos". The introduction by Moebius himself, the themes he uses and the complexity of some of his drawings really let you take a sneak peek in his soul.

A must.

This wanna be coffee-table book utterly disturbing. Saturated with bizarre-o illustrations of wretched humanoids, garish aliens, and a cornucopia of weirdness better left un-thought of, this compendium of the mind-boggling pains eyes and brains alike. If you were ever unsure of the link between insanity and art, look no further.

Currently available on Kindle Unlimited, this is a random collection of illustrations by Moebius, some being mere doodles, some being accomplished artworks. All of them give a glimpse into the way he worked, the graphic equivalent of word association, sliding from impression to impression, concept to concept, theme to theme. Not really for the casual reader. One for the hardcore fan or dedicated student.

Recueil de dessins, histoires, illustrations et autres affiches publicitaires créés par Moebius. Les fans du genre apprécieront, notamment pour le côté SF fantasmagorique si propre à l'auteur et aux années 70. Moebius joue aussi avec la couleur et le noir et blanc, c'est d'autant plus impressionnant !

Сборник ранних и поздних иллюстраций, а также коротких незаконченных и/или нефигуративных зарисовок Мёбиуса. Есть, на что посмотреть, но в целом довольно странная книжка, навевающая воспоминания о Луисе Уэйне с его котами при прогрессирующей шизофрении.
