The man she loves left her, but he’s the only one that can protect her.

Sharmila is a witch with a problem. Her magic is waning. And her lack of sex may have something to do with it. Her mother’s solution? Easy. Sharmila needs to get laid. Easier said than done, though, because Shar is still in love with the only man to make her melt, Zahir Darkwrath. Her missing husband. H

Milly Taiden – Smut Queen and seductress extraordinaire.

Fate’s Wish is a saucy, naughty paranormal story that whacks a whole heap of action and attraction into a short amount of pages.

Milly is a talented lady. Her characters are lovable and the sex scenes spectacular. One thing I love in her stories is that she doesn’t hold back in the bedroom...or where ever else they have the hibbity-dippity – cause they have it everywhere.

Shar and Zahir have a lovely story - The type that makes you

First of all, LOVE the cover. I mean look at sexy. Oh, sorry I may have drooled a bit there :) You people must read this book. It starts off with a bang *snicker* Ok bad pun but still. This book has it, steamy sex, magic, sexy hero who wants to protect his woman...really can't get much better than that, can it? Funny you should ask, why yes it can! There's a fantastic story too! You see, this boo

Sharmila is a witch who's powers are slowly slipping away, ever since her husband left her five

years earlier. The problem seemed easy enough to her mother anyway, that Sharmila needed

to have sex to bring her magic mojo back.

Sensing that Sharmila is in danger, her mother hires the agency her son in law Zahir owns to

get him to protect her when she senses someone evil has their sights set on Sharmila.

The more I read from Milly Taiden the more I get addicted to her writing. Each one is better

I will tell you what made me want to read this book. It was the cover, now that is one hot spicy cover and I just had to see what the story was about. It had to be good to have a cover like this.

I wasn't disappointed. I can see how this book will make you feel like you are the couple on the front. Yes demons can be mean and cause a lot of problems. Zahir will make you change your mind and say the heck with it. If sex with a demon can be the way that it is between Zahir and Shar, I say bring it o

Not even in to the first sentence of the book and I was already blushing like a shy school girl (hehe). Wow if that was a memory it was well formed and hot and full of S-E-X!!
A short and steamy novella with witches, demons and one bad villain. Good quick read if you're looking for a small break :) ...more

This story would have been better by removing at least six full pages of "I have to leave", "Oh, but I love you so", "No, I'll leave to protect you", "Your love can save us" nonsense. Without all of that garbage, and by moving vital pieces of information from the last three pages to the first chapter, this could have been a decent story. ...more

Good short story that would benefit from some added depth and less of the, I love her but need to leave to keep her safe, that is a continuous theme in this.
Enjoyed the interactions of all the characters.
Hope Sid is gone for good.

A hot quick paranormal read that will satisfy one’s urge for a fast fix of a sensual paranormal romance that will leave you wanting more in the very best of ways at the same time. Fate’s Wish is a story any fan of the genre will enjoy!

I have to start off by sharing who my favorite character of this story (hands down) is, Shar’s mother. She’s a trip! Any mother that pokes her nose (very bluntly) in the most personal of ways into her daughter’s business just to see her well and happy is A-OK in my

My Review:

This book had a lot going on in a very short amount of time. Zahir is a demon. His wife, Shar, is a witch whose powers are inexplicably waning. They've been separated for five years and Shar has no idea why Zahir left her. Her mother is concerned, both about Shar's waning powers and the fact that she senses that something is stalking Shar. She calls in for help in the form of the security company that Zahir works for. In addition, there's a flirtation between Shar's mother and another

Fate’s Wish is a short, fast paced, sexy novella by Milly Taiden. Sharmila (Shar) is a witch with a problem. Her magic is leaking and she can’t even perform the simplest of spells and there seems to be danger on the way. It all started when her demon husband, Zahir, up and left her for no reason. So what’s a girl to do? Well Sharmila’s mom’s suggestion is an easy one; she just needs to get laid. Shar doesn’t have any interest in anyone but Zahir, so being the good mother that she is, Shar’s mom ...more

This story was both dramatic and funny. The relationship between Sharmila and her mother is such that they talk about their love lives. I don’t know how I’d react if my mother told me I needed to get laid! The history behind Sharmila’s marriage to Zahir is kind of sad, but that’s what adds the drama and interest. The magic is pretty cool and used in very creative ways *wink wink*. I will say that the conflict was a little two dimensional making it very predictable and the whole plot seemed a lit ...more

There is a certain amount of chemistry that you hope to get when you pick up a book with a cover as hot as this one. I wish I could say I was pleasantly surprised to say that the story did not disappoint. However, that would be a lie as Ms. Taiden has not only delivered exactly what she promised, but she's surpassed it. A bit of angst over wanting someone that no longer wants you, a chemistry so combustible it practically jumps out of the book and characters you genuinely want to see make up and ...more

Today's review is on Fate's Wish by Milly Taiden

Fate's Wish is the first book that I have read by Taiden, and though there was oodles of fantastic hot sex between the two main players, I was left feeling ripped off at the end. This doesn't mean that I did not enjoy the book. In fact I did! It's just that this short and sexy tale is just too short.

There was enough pull in there that I think the author could have written more. That this is just the beginning few chapters of a great sexy paranorma

"You can't fight fate's wish. You can only try to veer it in your favor."

Great quick read about powerful beings who are fighting their love for each other. One has been hurt and doesn't want to be hurt again. The other is trying to protect his love from being hurt.

Once they figure out who the threats are coming from, will they admit their true feelings?

Favorite passage: Anahid gave him a sympathetic look. "It's probably best if you're not here when I do this. It'll bother you to hear her cry out

I like this short story. It had spunk, character and was feisty...

The characters are well written and taken the number of pages into consideration, they also show a lot of depth.

The world-building could have been a lot better but you still got an image of the surrounding layout. With just a bit of your own imagination it works out great.

If someone just wanted a short, great read that would lighten up their day somewhat, this book could (and very much might) be one of the books I'd recommend.

I thought this was a sweet magical story. I liked the idea of two beings connected in a way that they need each other. I loved the plot. The characters were likable and well written. The only downfall, was it's length. I would have loved for it to be longer. This authors other books are longer, and I feel you get a better look at the characters and storyline. This just felt too short to me. Doesn't mean I didn't love it! Zahir can pin me to a wall anytime! Yummy. ...more

Shar and Zahir had been separated for five years when she was in danger her mother helped her and Zahir out by tricking him into protecting her. The darkness behind Zahir was interesting to read and I really wanted to know more about Luthian, he seemed to be a good character to read about. This was a good read.
