Setting: Regency England

Will Ransleigh, illegitimate black sheep is determined to clear the family name. He may appear to be a "dissolute" nobleman, but he was raised a cunning streetwise urchin..and he aims to use his skills to catch the woman who holds the key to what really happened to his cousin Max in Vienna. Forced into an untenable position,Elodie Lefeve regrets her part in Max's disgrace, but when Will tries to convince her to testify,Elodie allows him to believe she'll travel to England
Good book. Will has gone to Vienna to find the woman behind his cousin's scandal (The Rake to Ruin Her). He is determined to take her back to England to face what she has done. When he tracks her down she is not at all what he expected to find. Instead of a hardened seductress living it up she appears to be a virtual prisoner in a couple of rooms. When he tells her what happened to Max because of her actions she agrees to go to England with him as long as they stop in Paris first. Over the sever ...more

This series, The Ransleigh Rogues, is nothing spectacular :-(
So sorry, because I've been waiting for a Justiss' story since a long time. Pity!

Güzel bir kitap idi ama başlarda biraz durağan geldi bana..Genel olarak etkileyici bir hikaye idi. The Ransleigh Rogues serisinin ikinci kitabı idi. İlk kitapda kuzen Max Ransleigh'in hikayesi vardı diplomatik kariyerinin bitmesine sebep Elodie Lefevre ile kuzeni Will Ransleigh'in hikayesi idi.
Will Ransleigh'in hayatı çok çetin geçmişti. Gayri meşru bir çocuk olması nedeni

I have read a few of Julia Justiss’ novels and always enjoyed her stories. The Rake to Redeem Her is also an enjoyable book, the second in her Ransleigh Rogues series. It might have even been a special book without a few problems. This is a book that I would recommend to others, but I doubt I would ever re-

Okay I really liked the two main characters especially Will. Elodie is also a fabulously strong leading lady who has been through hell. She is desperate to get to Paris to find a unknown male who I'm guessing is meant to be a surprise but you figure out exceptionally fast as in two seconds after his mention who he is.
I did like the book but will not be buying it. This is the second book in the Ransleigh Rogues series. There will be two more to go which are due out next year. I will read them bu

"Dopo aver condiviso tante avventure, era sempre più dispiaciuto di non conoscere, riguardo al passato di Madame Lefevre, niente di più di ciò che aveva saputo anche prima di partire da Vienna. (...) Intuiva che si stava avvicinando all'essenza stessa di quella donna, alla su anima, che fluttuava appena fuori dalla sua portata. Tuttavia Elodie Lefevre continua
Another winner with a strong plot with developed and likable characters from Justiss. Elodie was an unusually determined heroine who was interestingly independent without being bullheaded. I loved how protective Will was of Elodie despite the fact that she seemed capable.
The characters were so well written I really felt what they did during certain aspects, particularly with Elodie and Phillipe.

I only gave three stars because as much as I enjoyed it, it wasn't memorable enough to be regaling pe

Julia Justiss grew up breathing the scent of sea air near the colonial town of Annapolis, Maryland, a fact responsible for two of her life-long passions: sailors and history! By age twelve she was a junior tour guide for Historic Annapolis, conducting visitors on walking tours through the city that was a hotbed of revolutionary fervor. (Annapolis hosted its own tea party, dispensing with the cargo ...more
