This is a level 2 storybook, I would say about medium reading difficulty. This is a better SpongeBob book, in my opinion. Not super hyper like most of them usually are. AND it shows the compassion that SpongeBob often does show (if you can see it beyond his hyperness) It's Squidward's birthday and he doesn't do anything for it. But SpongeBob accidently breaks his clarinet and wants to make it up to him. So he gets with Mr Crabs and throws Squidward a surprise birthday party.

Connor read this book for his first school book report. Spongebob accidentally breaks Squidward's clarinet and feels bad when he finds out it is actually Squidward's birthday. He then plans a surprise party to try to make it up to him. Cute story.
