This book clearly deserves five stars as it was the first book my son ever settled down to listen to all the way up to the end (he had just turned one then). My five-year-old daughter enjoyed it too. The illustrations are bright and dynamic and the rhyming story great fun. And it shows kids what healthy competition is all about! Valuable for my daughter, who is still learning how to be a good sport. I like the pains Robert took to make one of the characters a girl in his illustrations, even if g ...more
