A Bloodier Rose opens up guns blazing and doesn't pause for breath until the midway point, by which events and circumstance have overcome the crew of A Bloody Rose to such an extent that drastic action is truly needed.

The stand-out aspect of A Bloodier Rose is the vivid world building. The characters are strong and the plot exciting, but it's the world they inhabit that made me eagerly read on. This is a steampunk ADVENTURE. It's larger than life, but details and style are excellent.

The is the worthy second book in The Sauder Diaries.
From my point of view the By Any Other Name is a little bit better. But that did not hinder me to give five stars.

I can't wait to read the next instalment in this excellent steampunk series.
