Wow! I will be honest…it took me this entire week to read this book. I'm worn out. Worn, not because of how long it took me, but, because of the roller coaster of emotions I felt while reading it. At first I wasn't even really sure that I liked this book, but then after thinking back on everything that happened throughout Camryn's life, I realized that this was actually a true novel and not just one of those 100 page quickies that so many authors are throwing out there these days. We get so used ...more

**I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review**

I really enjoyed this story. It had so many ups & downs, it was like riding an emotional roller coaster. It was beautifully written and seemed more like reading someone's journal. It was a story about real life.

I liked all of the main characters: Camryn, Reese and Glenn. They were all good and bad in their own way. I thought that Camryn was interesting and enjoyed watching her grow from a teenager to a wise woman.

I have to write this review and I am going to keep it simple. This is a must read book ! I loved it! Author did an amazing job. Heartfelt and very real at times is how I describe it. I am glad I read this and so will you.

This book is in a genre that I typically wouldn't read, but I'm glad that I picked it up and read it.

The book, for me, started off a bit slow, but that may be because I typically read thrillers that start off with a bang. I was a bit lost for the first 6 chapters, wondering where the storyline was going (although I did very much enjoy the interaction & dialogue between the characters). But once Camryn was off to college, Ms. Everett had me guessing! Just when I thought I knew what was going to h

Sometimes there is a book that comes along that will take your breath away because all the emotion in the writing. This is a book that will do that for you. We follow that characters in this story from high school to middle age. Reese, what can I say, you let the love of your life getaway because of your problems you thought you could handle on your own. Glenn, you just waltzed in and smiled your smile and stole away many years of the love that should have been someone else's. I had a love, hate ...more

For better or worse
Honestly, I didn’t think I would like this book. I wasn’t too sure what I was getting myself into with the book description mentioning KKK and ADHD. However, I LOVE this story. C.R. Everett is a fabulous writer and has joined my list of favorite authors. I highly recommend this book.
I absolutely love Camryn! I feel like I know her. The whole time I was reading this I thought…YES! I know exactly how that feels (especially when fighting with Glenn). I love all the letters that

i dont think anything i say will be good enough for how fantastic this book was, it was eveything and nothing like i expected it to be, the book is split into two parts the first part deals with first love and i think the author got the feelings of a 15 year old girl spot on, i dont think anyone who reads it wont relate to some part, i especially chuckled when the 4 school friends used to meet every night so they could stalk the boys they crushed on and compare notes, it shot me right back to be ...more

You Got to Keep Reading It.. Love, Carry My Bags Don't put it down!
The Title is very reveling at the end of the story, But in the beginning you wouldn't know. This story takes you thru the Loves and Losses of a Girl to a Woman, Takes you thru a struggle with an issue many face either for their selves or their loved ones - ADD. But it's not just about that issue..It's about Life!!
R.R. Everett does an amazing job with the journey her main character'll wonder thru out the book how the e

This book was a very simple read for me. But it's not a quick read... It's complex and amazing and frustrating and a really good read

Camryn fell in love with her best friend. The person she thought she would marry and have kids with. While she was still in high school. She never dreamed of wanting anyone else other then Reese.

Life doesn't always turn out how you believe it will. Or how you want it. Years later Camryn marries Glenn. The person who showed his true colors from the start. He show

The MOST heart-wrenching and beautiful coming of age story I've ever read...

This book consumed me for the past twelve hours...if I could give it more than five stars, I would. CR Everett made me laugh, cry, and relive every good and bad decision I've ever made in my life. During the last half of the book I prayed (okay, I cried profusely) that Camryn would get the ending she so deserved. I'm not going to spoil anything, but please trust me, that you HAVE to read this book. It was beautiful, it w

4 beautiful stars...

This book was unique. There were no unnecessary drama, overly theatrical scenes and unreal emotions. Instead, the plot built like a slow, steady simmer and was absolutely brilliant at the end:)

Love, Carry My Bags was a good read. It manages to capture your attention eventually( although a little slow at first) and reels you into it's world and takes you through a mesmerising journey.

Oh and the characters were extremely realistic and I could relate to them.. LOVED that:)

I just finished this book on Thursday and I have to say bravo to the author! I found this to be a a poignant tale of one woman's journey from child to woman, from naivete to maturity, from insecurity to confidence, and her realization that all is not always as it seems. For anyone who has not yet had the chance to read it, please do, I highly recommend it. The writing is excellent, the characters are engaging, and the story itself takes you on a journey, both external and internal, that showcase ...more

I enjoyed this book, but initially it was difficult to say why.
I was frustrated with Camryn who could have changed her situation, but I understood why she didn't. I was angry with Glenn for knowing he was wrong but doing nothing to put it right, but I understand why, and throughout the book my brain was calling to Reese to come and sort it all out.

And that's why I enjoyed it. This is a tale of normal people, with normal feelings and failings, dealing with everyday life as best they can.

I received this e book in exchange for an honest review.

I had a really hard time getting into this book. It took multiple tries for me to stay with it. I could only manage one chapter at a time because I was honestly pretty lost for the first 5-6 chapters. After that though, the story really takes off and I couldn't put it down! It was such an emotional roller coster. I don't want to give anything away by saying too much, but for those of you struggling with the beginning, KEEP READING!!! It is

What an emotional rollercoaster. This book was incredibly written. It took me a few chapters to get into it but it was so worth reading. I loved reading Camryn's story, it was so real and at points it was like reading about my own life. There were points in the book where things felt like they had slowed down but i was so drawn in that it was easy to overlook. I laughed and cried and felt many of the emotions as they presented themselves in the book. I recieved a copy of this book for an honest ...more

Alright, I'm not very good at writing reviews so here it goes. This book is fantastic! I went from laughing to crying to all emotions in between. The book was well written and flowed nicely, you knew where the characters were and how they felt. Highly recommend this book!

I am not going to lie, this book had me really debating the love, honor and cherish til death do us part marriage vows. It made me question true love and love out of convenience. It made me question whether two people should stay together despite everything showing them how wrong they are for each other. This book made me question Camryn until the very end, but in the end, I admired the strength she showed even with all of the personal debates she held within herself.

This is more than a story.

“Love isn’t always going to be foo-foo drinks garnished with mini umbrellas and skewered fruit,” I said, hoping to remove any rose tinting from their vision. “Sometimes it’s hot cocoa when you come in from the snow, nothing fancy, but makes you warm inside. That’s how it should be.”

“When you miss someone a lot, you stop living.” I picked up Mouser, snuggling his soft fur to my face. “When you miss someone a little, you never take them for gran

I firstly want to say and be honest that at the beginning of the book I doubted it was the book for me and even voiced to a friend that I was struggling to get into it. My first impression was this should be a YA read as I found Camryn as a teenager to be quite immature; I was also worried that it was going to be too religious for my taste as Camryn is the Daughter of a preacher and much of her early activities in the book are through church youth groups but Camryn herself quickly batted that id ...more

This was a difficult book for me to get hooked into, largely because I'm more of a fantasy reader than of books set in present day dealing with every day issues. The author takes us on a trip through the lifetime of the main female character, Camryn, beginning with high school. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her father and stepmother. Throughout the last couple of years of high school, she is fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with the boy of her dreams that somehow survives ...more

I really thought I would end up giving this book at least 3 stars, but the more I reflected back on the book, the more I realized I could only focus on the negatives and bad in the book. The fleeting good moments in the book just weren't strong enough to compensate for the misfortunes, grief and regret Camryn endures throughout the novel. I want to look back at a book and think about not only the wisdom and insight it brought to me, but also the uplifting moments. Unfortunately this boo

Love, Carry My Bags (A New Adult Saga) Wow, where do I start. I was so moved emotionally for Camryn while I was reading this book. This is a coming of age book, leading into first loves, marriage, trials and tribualtions of life, having children, deaths, friendships, lost loves and just dealing with family. Camryn just had to deal with so much in her life, meeting and falling in love with Reese, her first love and when she loses that love, meeting and falling in love with Glenn, marrying him, ha ...more

Love, Carry My Bags is a raw, emotional read. It follows the life of a young woman as she finds and loses her first love, marries and has a family, makes mistakes and endures misunderstandings. It is a sweet story about love, forgiveness and redemption.
Camryn, a homespun girl living in the heartland of America meets and falls in love with Reese. They have difficult, stubborn parents in common; Camryn’s mother is cultishly religious and Reese’s father has his son’s basketball career mapped out. T

I had purchased his book over a year ago & finally read it to review

This is a FABULOUS book.

It is well written, emotional story. Bittersweet
As the story develops so do the characters - first love, tenderness, difficulties and challenges. There is love and loss - heartwarming and heart-wrenching. Lessons of learning to speak up.
There is a love triangle in the story but its not the typical love triangle - an emotional well thought out set of events.

I love how CR Everett involves the reader in the

I admit that I struggle through the first few chapters of the book but the author's writing style kept me reading on and I was intrigued by reviewer comments around discovering the meaning of the title, the twists to come and the heroine's life as an adult as she struggle with love and life as an adult living with ADD.

I like my reads light and full of escapist opportunities. This didn't really provide that but, it did provoke deep thought and immense gratitude for my own life, loves and acceptan

This was such an emotional ride. It was nice to read something so real. I could completely relate to some of the things Camryn went through. It took me a while to get into this book but when I did I had a hard time putting it down. All the characters were so real. They all had their flaws but they weren't over done. I could picture parts of them in people I know. I didn't always agree with what Camryn did but people aren't perfect they make mistakes. I think it's great she decid

Cam and Reese are two high school lovebirds who seem to be the perfect couple. They have their issues but have learned how to work though them. Cam has always wanted to travel and leaves for a year in Australia. While apart Reese realizes how bad is life is without her and joins the Airforce. The two end up parting slowly over time until one day they no longer speak. This is where Glenn enters, while Cam is at college. Cam is basically brainwashed by Glenn. I hated him! I just finished this book and really want to review, yet having a hard time finding words for my thoughts and feelings.

Though I found the beginning slow, and wondered many times where the author was taking me, I felt the book was calling me and couldn't put down. This is a story about acceptance, forgiveness, finding yourself and second chances. It took quite sometime for me to like the main character. I think I was 1/2 way through the book when I realized her voice was different. I was so invol
