Good science, bad writing, but that's what academia is all about. The take home is backpackers are given a bad rep by all the hippies and wooks. The data says they're unaware of their own pretentiousness, distinct from self-described "travelers" who are fully cognizant of their pretentiousness, and self-described "tourists" who are wealthy dads that nobody in the subculture likes. ...more
