Interesting book on silent films as birthed in the State of texas with The Star Film Ranch, in San Antonio TS in 1910-11.

An admittedly obscure topic--only the Texas-made films of Georges Melies's brother, Gaston, but Frank's done a terrific job of teling the story of the G. Melies company, in the early days of the movies.
