If this book was updated to account for modern day advancements in technology, it would certainly be 5 stars. As it is, there are a lot of unhelpful portions simply because the book is outdated.

The main take-away from this homemaking self-helper is to HEAVILY, HEAVILY rely on a day planner. I have used a day planner for quite some time, but Donna Otto takes the who day planner concept to a new level. She recommends taking the planner with you everywhere you go and immediately writing down any thought that comes to mind about something you need to do or remember in the future, no matter how small. I have been following this advice for the past few weeks as I worked through the book and it has already proved fruitful!

The last chapter on prayer was excellent - perhaps the best part of the entire book. Her advice (make a list and then JUST DO IT) is direct and motivating. Loved it!

I read this book as I was approaching the end of highschool and rather overwhelmed with academics and home responsibilities. While I certainly don't live by all the suggestions, it was a huge help to me and some of what I learned still keeps me on track to set and reach goals and get through daily, weekly, and and more lengthy schedules.
