This was the debut book for Bella Juarez and I loved this book. I completely fell in love with Reece and Victoria. Bella grabs your attention from the very beginning and you just don't want to put the book down until you finish it. I would highly recommend this book to others.

Hmmm, not sure how I felt about this book. I didn't really connect with the characters. I felt like the author told us too much about their feelings and relationship rather than showed us. I liked the progression in the book though.... their relationship was realistic. She also did a great job with the Military/FBI/CIA details....The terror plot along with the whack job ex-wife was a good plot filler, and the love scenes were pretty hot, but just wasn't feeling it......

~~~~~~~~~~Kelli's ★★★★✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This was my first read by Bella Juarez. It was pretty good. The first half of the book was great. Held my attention and I couldn't wait to get deeper into the book. The last half, especially the last 1/4 was kind of all over the place. Almost like it was a rush to fit everything into the book before it ended. Jumping with huge time gaps all over the place. There were a few unanswered questions but I do know there are more books to this series. Overall I would recommend it. I'm interested enough that I will check out the next book
I received this ARC for a honest review. I enjoyed this read very much. Excellent writing with a wicked twist of a story-line.
Reese is a married Marine. He has done several tours of duty. His wife is crazy and he nor she is happy. His wife decides she must have a housekeeper to do all the things she can really do herself but doesn't want to. When he deploys for over a year, she leaves him. The housekeeper, Victoria, knows of her plots and stays to keep the house in order. When he returns, he is not only shocked but actually relieved that he doesn't have to deal with Maggie anymore. Setting his divorce straight, Maggie loses it all and he goes on with his life. Love is the only thing missing. In time, he develops feelings for Victoria and they start a relationship. Maggie tries everything she can to tear them apart. Without giving a major spoiler, they continue to work on their relationship and pass through past Maggie.
This was a terrific read. A hot alpha male meets his match and she gives as good as he does.
~~~~~~~~~~Sharlene's ★★★✰✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~

This books story-line has a unique starting off point. It's not your stereotypical romance story-line. I really enjoyed that. The author's writing is good and the research she has done for this book is obvious. The detail she has put into the military way of life and how they work is proof of that. The characters were likable. The scenes were set well. The love scenes were pretty hot. For some reason, I just didn't connect to the characters. Can't quite put my finger on why. I did enjoy this book and the story-line especially. But I just didn't feel invested in it. This is the first book in the Black Ops Brotherhood series so maybe the next book will have more to get me invested.

This was my first time reading Ms. Juarez’s work and it will not be the last. With Rapid Dominance the first in the Black Ops Brotherhood series, she gave us a thoughtful tale of love and acceptance.
Reese is a strong man in an untenable situation. He is determined to stand behind his vows but with each year it gets harder and harder. I found myself equally impressed and mad with both the man and the poor treatment he received. I totally agreed with Victoria and wanted to protect him even as I urged him to move on. His wife was a piece of work and his honor dictated his actions even as she was unworthy of his honor. Ms. Juarez did a wonderful job of getting her readers invested in Reese and his situation. I wanted to strangle his wife and hug him tight. I kept urging him in my mind to move on, drop her, stand strong and when an author does that I feel like she has hit a home run. Ms. Juarez also knew when to make Reese strong. I think it is a delicate balance to make a man strong without making him stupid and Ms. Juarez hit that mark well. When Reese finally let go and moved forward I was ecstatic and glad he did so before he became a caricature. I loved that Ms. Juarez gave Reese and strong woman. Victoria was a wonderful balance to the horrid woman he was married to. She allowed Reese to see what a relationship should and could be. I loved that Victoria sense of honor was as deeply ingrained in her as it was in him. Seeing their friendship blossom into something more was wonderfully portrayed.
I thought this story was well written and full of emotional depth and character. And I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

I fell in love with Reese Thompson in the first chapter and loved him even more by the time "the end" was written. Reese, an honorable man and Marine, is a hellish marriage with Maggie, hypochondriac extroardinare. Maggie is mean and belittling to him, and to their new housekeeper, Victoria. Reese is attracted to Victoria, but knows that as long as he is married, he won't pursue anyone out of loyalty to his wife and marriage.

Victoria doesn't under the dynamic between Reese and Maggie, and certainly doesn't understand why he stays with someone who treats him so horribly. Finding out that Reese is going to be deployed soon, she agrees to stay and "take care" of Maggie while he's gone.

Upon returning from an 18 month deployment, Reese finds out that Maggie has divorced him. Finally free of Maggie and all the drama, Reese and Victoria give in to the passion they have kept hidden.

This book takes you through the journey and exploration of two people trying again and living life and making it work. I can't wait to start book 2.

Very good story between the main characters. The fruit scene being one of them. For a first book better than I expected but, a few things that I felt were left hanging. Like what happened to nut case Maggie? What did she give the twins? And I am guessing that maybe Anna is going to have a story, unsure. That left more answers the way that ended also. For these reasons only that is why a four star review instead of 5. Again for first book ... Bravo! And who knew there was another Bermuda Triangle

Incredible moments of intimacy between the two main characters. A very believable love story that grows over time as they build a life together. There are a lot of back stories to set-up the series that go unanswered, opening doors for future storylines in the series. Great to have a strong female lead.

I found myself not wanting to be this book down. The way she brings the military life to life in this book is great. I loved the main characters with so many struggles to find that happy place in life. The way she brought out and showed what the man goes through when gone for that long, the hardships that the family have to deal with. Great book and LOVE this author!

I started reading this and thinking...not sure my kind of book. There was a lot of government background. But, as the story progressed, I realized that information was necessary to help understand the H and explain how people were connected. I couldn't stop reading... I had to know how it was going to end. Great story. Bella really captured my attention.

Rapid Dominance

I loved the story and the intrigue. I very mu h enjoy Bella's writing style. I marked this book as a 5 star book. I would give it a 4.5 only due to an inconsistency, I recognized as a military brat and an ex-spouse.

This is the beginning of a good series. The drama Reece and Victoria go through before they find each other added to the threat to national security makes for a terrific story.
