Morgan's car breaks down right as a snow storm starts coming down bad, thankfully he makes it back to the lodge he works at. Luckily the owner Sam Ackland is still there and he helps Morgan get out of his wet things and warmed up.
The next morning they wake to find themselves snowed in with no way out.
It's not a problem since they have been friends since Morgan started working at the lodge a few years back.
They spend time together and enjoy the others company even as they are secretly lusting

Sam and Morgan are stranded for a week during a snow storm. They are co-workers and friends and are attracted to each other, but each thinks that the other is straight. Will they be able to open up about their past and explore the attraction?

I liked this story very much. The writing was very good, with great dialog and lovable characters. Sam and Morgan had their reasons for keeping their sexual orientation to themselves, but when it was time to be open with each other, they didn't hes

Talk about staying in the closet! Both men in this story have done such a good job of pretending to be straight that neither would have figured out the other's true interests without a major intervention. In this case they are pushed into recognizing the truth by a faulty car - Morgan's vehicle breaks and forces him to return to Sam's lodge for shelter from a blizzard - and the weather remaining bad, resulting in snowing them both in for a week.

Morgan has good reason to try to live as unobtrusiv

This is the story of two broken men whose past kept following them. A blizzard at Christmas time bound them together, and made them opened up to each other. (view spoiler)

I didn't expect this story to be quite intense with the men's background. It is still sweet, though.

Morgan can’t believe his luck when his car breaks down when he leaves work in the middle of a snow storm, he returns to the lodge and discovers he isn’t the only one snowed in, his boss Sam is still there, his straight sexy boss. Sam decided to stay at the lodge and is surprised when a half frozen Morgan returns, taking care of Morgan is the only thing he can do even if it teases him with what he can’t

Morgan and Sam are trapped by a blizzard and end up spending the holidays in Sam's lodge. Morgan is the lodge bartender and both men have been attracted to the other, but do not think the other is gay. I thought there was good character development in this short story and you learn a lot about their surprisingly angst-y backgrounds. The connection between the men, I felt was strong and I enjoyed the story. A nice holiday read.

Lois - Who Reads
This story could almost be a full length book. Morgan and Sam have both had some rough coming out stories and they are both a little leery because of their pasts. When a snow storm traps them together for a week they come to a point where they fess up to being incredibly attracted to the other. The story was fun and well written, but some of it felt really abbreviated like there was more to these two men that you wanted to know all about.

The Romance Review

Two men snowbound in a resort could lead to secrets revealed.

Sam owns the resort lodge where Morgan works as a bartender. Both men have a history which isn't pretty. Both stories are painful and make me question what kinds of people exist in this world. As a result of their bad experiences, both are very discreet and noncommittal about their private lives. With nothing else to do, these two men finally share their story with each other.

It was sweet how they both danced around trying to figure o

This novella was fine enough, but for me, Morgan and Sam, fell into their new relationship to fast. It felt like, hey we both are gay so lets hook up, unrealistic. In general this story is easy, developed fast, and enjoyable, too. For my taste this novella feels rushed and Morgan's and Sam's emotions didn't feel true. But hey, at least we have a sweet HEA.

Morgan gets stranded and has to head back to the lodge he works at to ride out the storm. He's surprised to run into his boss Sam who's hiding out there as well. They enjoy their time getting to know each other better and finding out they are both gay just makes the holiday that much brighter for both of them. Loved the epilogue.
great story, perfect for when you want some sweet angst free christmas read.
i enjoyed reading this lovely story.
