McClellan Air Force Base near Sacramento, California has a very interesting history - from its early days as a training field during World War II, to its later years containing the Sacramento Air Logistics Center depot. Stalwart aircraft of the Cold War, such as the F-111, EF-111, F-117A and A-10, were maintained by McClellan's workers.
