Samantha Adams has received a message from her mother--postmarked Santa Fe, penned in her mother's writing, and full of details only her mother could know. All well and good, except for one thing: Sam's mother died in a plane crash 30 years ago. Didn't she?

This is the fourth Sam Adams book I've read, and I must say I have enjoyed it the most. I won't provide a synopsis of the story -- that has been done repeatedly. I will say that the emotion (parents do that to us don't they) and the excellent writing have provided a story that is hard to put down. The characters Ms. Shankman has created are full of life. Her writing style is engaging.

Seventh in the Samantha Adams series, this adventure is set in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sam receives a mysterious letter and goes in search of her mother who was supposed to have died years earlier. From the moment she sets off on her journey, she meets a number of characters whose paths intertwine.

Fun stuff!!! Over the top eccentric and hilariously zany....a dark tip of the whodunit hat, cowgirl-up style. If I come across more titles in this dated series I'll be delighted to read them.

Lots of odd twists and truns and improbability. Basically a quick read of the 'who dun it' type.

As usual, Sarah Shankman provides a quick and funny read.

This book totally cracked me up. I am amazed to see so few people have read and rated it. If you could use a good (but dark) laugh, get this book right now. Go on!
