Harper lived in Hong Kong for 7 years, travelled the world for a bit, and has now settled in Brussels (Belgium) with her wife and photogenic cat, Dolly Purrton.

Tw for racist language, including multiple PoC with food-based descriptions and a rather cringe-inducing use of the phrase "yellow fever" in the last story, "The Honeymoon." Also has multiple instances of bi erasure. Hey, author? If a woman is sexually attracted to men all her life and then suddenly finds herself liking women, she hasn't "turned lesbian", she'd discovered her bisexuality. This is a recurring issue with Harper Bliss's books.

Generally liked the love stories except for the last one, which was offensive to me as an Asian woman. Violet, the one Asian woman from the book, is someone who looks sooo good in a bikini that it gives the lesbian couple “YELLOW FEVER” (this was used multiple times by the author). Exotic, but not quite! She also “speaks with a posh British accent” and is only in Thailand a couple days “for business.” Ha! Isn’t that juuuust perfect!

I like the spiciness involved, but to be honest what the fuck was up with the whole yellow fever? Lmao that was so unnecessary. That was really what knocked me off and could honestly be better written.

Short stories were nice, but felt a bit rushed, even within the idea of it being a short story. It was, however, nice to see that one story was told two times but from a different perspective. The last story I didn't like at all and felt rather racist, therefore no good review.
