His Obsession

Rate this book
His obsession could destroy them both.

Stephen Knox is the wealthy owner of the exclusive gentleman’s club, Possession. A club where men feel the utmost possession for their women. However, he doesn’t believe in what the club represents until Ursula Mills walks into his life.

Ursula has no choice but to accept the job as a cleaner/cook for Stephen. From the moment they first met, she’s been infatuated by her older employer. He’s unlike any man she’s ever known. Everything about him pulls her in. Their passion ignites to a fever pitch neither could have expected.

But, when an old enemy returns with the intent of destroying everything that Stephen possesses, he must act quickly to protect his club.

When Ursula learns his secret, she has to make a choice. Live without him or learn to be his—completely.

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

LIKED IT BETTER THAN THE FIRST BOOK

This had a more involved plot than book 1 in this series IMO. Stephen Knox is an intense character but likeable. Ursula hires on as his cleaner and cook, Stephen is fascinated by her and not just her curvy figure, he likes that she's not intimidated by him, she certainly gives him as good as she gets. Ursula has a no good slob of a boyfriend, who treats her badly. When things get out of hand Stephen comes to her rescue insisting she move into his mansion.

Stephen had been left a club in his father's will. Possession is a private club for men who are very possessive of the woman in their life, so like minded men with enough wealth are permitted to join this select group. Stephen feels quite the fraud as he has never felt that possessive streak towards a women, that is not until Ursula came into his life. But he's also having to deal with a serious threat from another source which could threaten all that he has.

Liked this story. The sex scenes were very hot indeed, I really like the theme of a much older man with a younger woman. Which was the case in the first book. Enjoyed reading this, and look forward to the next.

Um...no.
Just.
No.
The "B"and "S" stands for Bull and Sh$!! in this wannabee-BDSM tale. I will not be reading anymore of this series. I found myself asking "really?" and scoffing at the overdone sex scenes and sore pacing/development in the plot.

It wasn't even good enough to be called fluff/smut. So disjointed, it was (and now I'm thinking like Yoda).

Stephen inherited the elite club Possession from his father, but had little interest in it. His new housekeeper is more than he can resist and makes him want to spank her to show her who is master.

Ursula is accustomed to her lot in life, even if her man becomes scarier every day. Her new employer makes her wish for something more, but she knows it will never happen.

Stephen was clueless to what was missing in his life until Ursula showed him the light. Unfortunately, she is already taken, but saving her will offer him a different outlook and he will come to appreciate the meaning of possession.

The story of His Obsession provides the reader a true peek of possession and love. I found the characters intriguing and I will be looking into the story of Sean and Lucas because wow these two are hot. The storyline is realistic and I fell in love with the strong women and the men who possess them. I strongly recommend this beautiful story to women who need a strong man to keep them.

This is book 2 in the Owners series and I have to say this is not one of my favorite stories, I can't put my finger on why I just didn't connect with the characters. I also didn't feel like Stephan could hold up to the other heroes Sam Crescent has written. That being said this book was still better than a lot of books I have read. I'm hoping book 3 in The Owners series is better.

OK, Cadeon was my kind of hero but we have to move on to another hero, right? And heroes are all different in their own kind of way.

Stephen Knox is a wealthy man, owner of Possession and friend with our "Owners" and has all that he wants, but still one thing is missing ... the flare of ownership that his friends have and the lady that goes along with it.
When he takes on his housekeeper Ursula Mills, he begins to feel what he doesn't know and when she finds herself in danger living in an abused relationship, Stephen jumps to the rescue and takes them down into a world of ... Obsession.

Stephen seemed to me to be the kind of man that liked to be challenged, pushed, so he could fight back, punish at his own will and pleasure.
For this man a submissive wouldn't do the trick but a woman that shows flare and fire, but at the same time, knows how to take orders and stand back and be protected when he tells her to.
This is easier said than done in Ursula's case.

Their dance of seduction was almost my favorite part, better than the physical outcome of it ...
"Don’t move" he said. She stopped, staring into his dark brown eyes. He held her captive in his gaze. The tension between them mounted with every passing second. They kept their gazes on each other for ages."

Ursula Mills was a character like many woman in this life.
At first everything is roses and then the wolf comes knocking on the door, I think that sometimes we see in a man what we want and not who he is, and that is exactly what happened here.
What we don't get is a "Stephen" knocking on our door everyday and this lucky girl knew how to move on , upwards and not the other way around.
I also related to her in the fact that she doesn't bow down to Stephen and makes room for her personal and professional pleasure.

Over all M. Crescent made a good job of this book and I so like her writing style:

"When we’re here, you’re no one else’s.” The words confused her.
“Whose am I?” she asked.
“Mine.";

So, now for the next Owner, and this time it's James turn.

Stephen's story is a little different and one that I liked but not as much as the first one. Ursula is a strong woman and she brings out the good in Stephen so I liked that. I hate that he didn't want to admit his feelings and let his business go down hill a little. I can't wait to see what happens in the rest of this series. I know it will leave me on the edge of my seat.

Wasn't as good as the first in the series but a good read, I love Sam Crescent books and the dominant male characters. This book was full of that but the female character was more out spoken and not as dependent on the male character this time. Great Read!!

I couldn't get over the " heroine" having sex with the hero the same night she was battered by her boyfriend. It looked cheap and demeaning.

Some of the dialogues were corny, while others made me shudder.

Definitely, not my cup of tea.

I don't mind this series, it's actually pretty good, albeit a bit confusing sometimes. I can't wait for the third installment.

Overall not a bad book. I did not read the first one and still followed along ok. The conflict between them being the club was a little weak but it worked.
