Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.
Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.
Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.
I admit that this is my first book by Author Jade Jones, although I have heard of her great books from others. She is a great story-teller, who knows how to keep her readers interested throughout. I can honestly say that since reading this book, I have purchased a few others. If she continues to write stories like these, she is surely on her way to the top of the New York Best Sellers List. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great read! Ebony and Ivory are two very unique, yet similar characters. To say that they are sisters is one thing, but no one could ever tell from the things they did to each other. From beginning to end I was drawn into this book more and more. I just couldn't believe all the scandalous things those two got themselves into or did to each other. At first I was for one twin, but more drama happened which changed my sympathy for her. In the end I can say that both got what they deserved! I learned that no matter what life throws your way, don't blame others for the way you handle it or get through it. Life happens and it's solely up to us to live our own and not someone else's. Also be careful what you do and how you treat others because you just never know if/when they can come back into your life at some point in time. Kudos to Ms. Jones...job well done!
Ebony and Ivory are twins but they don't have that sibling relationship that one would expect of twins. While Ivory has everything she could want or need courtesy of her boyfriend Black, Ebony is left struggling to care for herself and her son. Ebony is jealous and will do whatever she can to get that same luxury as Ivory. Ebony drags Ivory into something that vowed to forget, only for it to come back to haunt them in the future.
Ebony and Ivory by Jade Jones is an interesting read. However, close to the middle of the book I had already figured out the twist, making the book come across as predictable. There were some editing issues, but not enough to take away from the story. I do wish that the author would have expounded on certain aspects of the story. There were some things I was left wondering in the end. I think with more development this story would have come across well.
I've read a couple of series from this author before and I usually like them, but this one didn't live up to my expectations. I listened to this in audiobook, and maybe that was my first mistake since the narration wasn't all that good. Then if the author said, "Without deliberation" ONE MORE TIME in a chapter, I was going to lop my own ears off with a sword. LOL. I already bought the sequel to this when I bought the original, so I hope that it will be better than this installment.
Ebony is a scandalous, malicious, bitter, jealous ass female. She snaked her own twin sister Ivory on numerous occasions and didn't have one ounce of remorse. I don't see how Ivory continued to allow Ebony to drag her into some mess and. Ivory loved Black dirty drawls and that's why he didn't have a problem betraying her because he knew she wasn't going anywhere. He was disrespectful as hell too. Jah had no clue that Ebony was conniving and sneaky until Violet put a bug in his ear. Ebony thought she was winning setting Ivory up but karma definitely came for her when Jah found out she was responsible for what happened to his cousin.
Two identical twins but so different! Ebony is just cold blooded, harsh, and evil! Ebony has a powerful hold over Ivory! Ebony has a way of turning Ivory into a cold blooded creature like Ebony. Even though CJ is Ebony's son, she hates him because her stepfather is CJ's dad. Ebony's only think of men for money and sex, she is totally screwed up in the head. Poor Ivory is following in her sister's footsteps.
This book had me so upset at Ebony! I can’t believe how dirty she did her own twin sister. Ivory was way too naïve and let her get used and walked all over. I really wish Ivory had found a man who treated her right. Honestly, Black should’ve been with Ebony and Jah with Ivory, because the way the good ones ended up with the toxic ones? Whew. And the way Ebony treated her son, just nasty work. She got what she deserved in the end… now I’m headed straight to part 2!
This book had me so mad at Ebony! I can’t believe how dirty she did her own twin sister. Ivory was way too naïve and let her get used and walked all over. I really wish Ivory had found a man who treated her right. Honestly, Black should’ve been with Ebony and Jah with Ivory—because the way the good ones ended up with the toxic ones? Whew. And the way Ebony treated her son? Terrible. She got what she deserved in the end… now I’m headed straight to part 2!
The interesting storyline made me keep reading. My only complaint which is my usual complaint. Spell checking was not done, but most of the things you can figure out what was supposed to be typed there. Good read. Now I have to read part two because of the cliff hanger. Hope it picks right up where it left off. I gotta know what happens!!
Ms. Jones has done it again!! Straight page Turner from beginning to end and had me wanting to fight ebony at err turn lol She definitely has a gift and I can't wait to read part 2
Whewwwwww!!!!...I was not prepared for this hot pot of mess!!!...Karma ate Ebony's ash up and spit directly on her!!!...Ivory was way too dam vulnerable and passive when it came to her sister!!!...I can not wait to read book 2!!!...
Although you may have an identical twin does not make the two of you identical. Prime example with Ebony and Ivory, where they have the same face they do not have the same mindset. Ebony is the twin you need to keep your eye on, because she has a serious past. Her past is the reason she is how she is, shes a take no mess kind of girl and while she is usually starting the mess she makes sure she finishes it as well. When she wants something she goes through a lot of measures any means necessary to try to get what she wants. Even though Ebony and Ivory are twins and Ebony has a son, it seems like the only person she really cares about is herself. Ivory is the only person her sister is jealous of. Ivory is living the life with her man, and though Ivory doesnt start the trouble, her sister always brings her into it and shes willing to help her out as much as she can. Ivory is nothing like her twin because Ivory has a heart, and is very naive especially when it comes to her sister. These two take you on a journey that you wouldnt believe two sisters would take you on.
I have had this book for a while so im glad i started it, I was really into it once I started it because the drama starts right off. Ebony is a hot mess I cant even imagine how her sister dealt with her and didnt know they type of person she was until later. I can get how Ebony was how she was because she did have a harsh past growing up but that wasnt her sisters fault and she bragged her into so much stuff due to it. The author did a really good job showing how both sisters were different and with all the drama i felt i was right there watching it unfold. There a some twist and turns you dont see coming which brng even more drama on the scene. There were a few times the author confused characters but other than that it was very well written. Cant wait to read part 2 to see whats going to happen next.
When I say that this book was crazy, it was crazy! I don't understand why Ivory let Ebony bring her into drama. Ivory knew that Ebony was sadistic, selfish, vindictive, and always scheming to make a quick easy dollar. However, knowing this still didn't stop Ivory from having her sister's back, and of course, Ivory ended up getting the worse end of it. The only thing that Ebony and Ivory had in common was the outside shell, but inside it was as different as nice and day.
Ebony was the most ratchet, selfish, backstabbing, b*tch that should be given a dose of karma. Ivory loved her like she should, and Ebony took advantage of her in every way. I wouldn't have treated my dog the way Ebony treated her sister, or her son, but yet Ebony didn't have any type of remorse. I can't wait for her to get served the dose of karma she needed.
Ebony And Ivory Davenport are twin sister but you would never know it the way Ebony treats Ivory. Ebony is very conniving and won't stop at anything to get what she wants even if it means hurting her own sister Ivory. In their case Blood isn't thicker than water.
I really enjoyed this story, the author kept me very interested in the plot, the story flowed well I was hooked. The only problem I had with the book was there were a lot of grammical errors that made the book a little annoying at times. I give the book 4 stars.
Ebony and Ivory says it all..dark and light..evil..and good? But in this duo, nothing is ever clear cut as that. When the unthinkable happens and lies and deception pave the way to destruction, who will prevail?
Wow, I enjoyed this read. It was very fast-paced and drama at every turn. When you were just getting over one event, there was another to slap you in the face and say, 'gee, what could possibly happen next?' Ending happened so fast; I hope part two wraps up the series well.
This was a damn good book! Another Jade Jones page turner that you just can't put down until the entire book is completed. Ebony & Ivory are twins that are not easily forgotten. Ebony was as mentally unstable as they come & her vicious actions against others were down right despicable. Although Ivory had more of a conscious, she also possessed violent tendencies. Ready to read part 2 to see how this drama unfolds!
Another hit by author Jade Jones, but that doesn't surprise me. Ebony and Ivory are twins who are totally different. Ebony is the conniving and money hungry twin who will stop at nothing to get her way. Ivory, wow this girl pissed me off she was so gullible and soft. She let Ebony manipulate her to do the kraziest things. The ending came to soon to me I wanted more. Can't wait for part 2.
This was a good read. Ebony and Ivory are twins and they are so different. Ebony is a single mom of a little boy that she does not like, due to his dad. Ivory is has everything and anything do to her drug dealing boyfriend. Ebony is very jealous of Ivory and her relationship, so she starts sleeping with Ivory’s boyfriend. Ebony is so evil and brings her sister in on her crazy acts.
Just finished reading this book. Ebony was something else talk about good sister Vs bad sister. Ivory I loved her character she was sweet nothing like her twin. The end I didn't see it coming. Great read kept me entertained!!
Couldn't put it down until I was finished. Thank God me & my twin not like these two. Ivory~that's why people have to have a mind of their own. She was just a follower of her sister. Ebony~the evil twin. Karma is a bitch and she got hers.
I LOVED IT AND YOU WILL 2 I LOVE JAH HE IS ALL THAT A MAN IS TO ME EBONY HAVE MORE ISSUES THAN AMAZON GOT BOOKS IVORY SHE COULDN'T SEE PAST HE IDEA OF LOVE WITH BLACK BUT THE END IT WAS OFF THE HOOK ON TO PART 2
This book was definitely a page turner these twins are really something else. There was pretty much drama in every turn for these two! I wonder what happens next I mean how can they possibly get into any more drama in the second book. Another well written book by Jade Jones.
This book was really good! Ebony is one triflin sister! I wanted to jump through on many moments and handle her myself and ivory is just plain stupid! Eb doesn't deserve Jah and Ivory should just move on without her sister.
Ebony and Ivory were as different as two twins could be. I really enjoyed reading this because you wouldn't expect twins to act like this toward one another. These girls are ruthless. I would definetly recommend this book.
