Can dogs really smile? It's a bone of contention, but yes, they can!
Dogs Who Smile is jam-packed with ludicrously funny photos of the happiest hounds around. From beaming Border Collies and delighted Dachshunds, to laughing Labradors and cheerful Chihuahuas, some pooches love their dog's life so much they've got to smile about it. Filled with uproarious captions like:
- "Quick! Dude! YouTube this!" - My bite is worse than my bark. Mwah-ha-ha! - Well somebody's gotta use mum's fitness DVD... - Just smile and it'll soon be over... - I call this my 'pug shot' - Who. Are. You. Calling. A. Sausage?!
Guaranteed to make you howl with laughter, this is a must for any dog lover.
A laugh-out-loud funny collection of photographs of dogs that have the ability to smile
A short book of dogs who look like they are smiling. Surprisingly, only a handful of the pictures are cute. And the short jokes and puns that accompany each image are often painful or just downright baffling.
Got this cute little book for Christmas. It features pictures of dogs smiling, with the opposite page featuring a comment. This book could have been so much better if the contents had been on the same page as the photo, leaving room for twice as many pictures. This might have gone some way to justifying the cover price of £6.99, which I hope my hubby did not pay. At most, I would expect this book to cost £2.99! Nice photos but vastly overpriced.
I love photographic books on dogs. There’s something about them that is so carefree and honest. And smiling dogs? Awesome. This was not one of those books. First, it was too short. Second, the captions were kind of dumb. Third, the photos seemed forced.
Dogs Who Smile was another cute dog picture book. This one is themed around, well, smiling dogs. I wish that the picture had the 'caption' on the same page (rather than on the page next to it) so that there would be more room for other pictures. This book had 30 pictures (31 if you count the 'dedication' picture). Some of them were funny and charming but most of them were just okay.
Virginia Woof created a darling book that features adorable mug shots of dogs. She also writes amusing captions on the opposite pages. This is a fast and fun read that will be sure to put a smile on your own human face. :)
