The moment she saw him at the club, accountant Cassandra Adams knew she’d found her candidate for an anonymous one-night-stand. Pirate-like handsome, he signaled danger in capital letters - just what she needed before assuming her role as CEO of her father’s South African weapons manufacturing company.

Steaming hot sex was the last thing on Jake Pierce’s mind when he agreed

My Review:
I have to admit, I was surprised by just how much I enjoyed this book...all of it, both the suspense, the romance, AND the super-hot erotic parts. Usually I end my reviews talking about the eroticism on an erotic romance, but this book deserves that discussion first. I've read quite a bit of erotica and I can easily say that this is one of the hottest books that I've ever read. Seriously, I love the way that Ylette Pearson writes those scenes. But just a warning....have your significan

A nice story with drama, action, lust and love. It could do with some editing and some scenes required a bit more common sense from the main characters, however overall it was still an enjoyable read.

A very hot and steamy read, looking for a sexy sex read with a little mystery grab a copy of this. Sex scenes that are sure to please with a good story line.
Lisa ~ Books Are My Drugs ~
This wasn't really anything special - plot was predictable. MCs meet while on vacation, have a one-night stand without exchanging names then are unable to forget each other. They meet again when the female MC requires a security detail and the male MC's company is hired to provide such. They immediately begin having sex again even though his job is to be her bodyguard; even having sex in her office where they're caught on film.

This book is another instance where safe sex isn't practiced; the cou

I was disappointed in this novel; it could have been so much more.

The first chapter was very exciting and should have set up the rest of the plot, but unfortunately this momentum was not maintained.

The main characters are one-dimensional and neither of them knew the meaning of love. The author had the opportunity to turn this into a first class crime/romance but missed, owing to far too much emphasis on sex, in my opinion. Cassie & Jack are totally motivated by their libidos, Jack to the detrime

I picked this up during a free promotion and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cassie is an accountant who takes over her father's business after he dies. Prior to starting her new position, she goes on a vacation where she has a hot one night stand with a stranger "Jake" but slips out of his room the next morning without getting his name.

As she gets back to business, Cassie is set on clearing her father's name. Soon after starting an investigation of the company's records, her life is endangered. The comp
This is an exciting story. A mystery that unfolds slowly while the main character meets her hero. There are so many exciting things that happen throughout.

Cassie is a strong character who knows when to compromise when needed. She has a good friend in Joshua, who knows when and how to look after his boss and friend.

Jake is a good strong, male and a good compliment to Cassie.

Lots of excitement in this story. A really good, fast-paced, enjoyable read!

This thriller debut by Ylette Pearson sizzles from page to page, but not only because of the hotness between Cassie and Jake - which I have to add is damn hot and then some, but the element of suspense kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The writing voice brilliant and I'm eagerly looking forward to more from Ms. Pearson. ...more

Recommends it for: Erotica readers
I love a good steamy book. Unfortunately, "Accounting For Lust" was just steam. There was potential for a really great suspense back story and great strong characters. Jake and Cassie both had potential to be well developed characters with amazing stories. The editing was pretty bad too - many grammatical errors that were distracting. ...more

Sorry but this book wasn't good. Very weak plot and character development, full of spelling and grammar mistakes and boring. The sex scenes were quite hot but they became repetitive too. I only finished it because it was a reading challenge. ...more

Familiar Territory

The lust is there but, sadly, grammar and word choices could use a little editorial first aid. I personally was a little put off by some of the kinky stuff, but the "whodunnit" puzzle was fairly well-played, as was the setting and plot.

I thought that this was a nice book but it didn't excite me because of the predictable story line and a quick ending. It wasn't as well written as i would have liked it to be, however it was a nice book to relax into after a hard, tough day.
Thank you for the recommendation.

Definitely disappointed in this novel. The over-the-top sex scenes (view spoiler), the sloppy dialogue even the story itself was not...logical?good? It had a weird story building and the different event's timing was just off. ...more

Being naughty doesn't mean you can't be nice. Ylette Pearson writes both naughty and nice - depending on the mood.

She enjoys the outdoors much more than being cooped up indoors and is often found sitting under a tree with the laptop on her lap. South African born, Ylette enjoys exploring the diversity of cultures, sights and sounds unique to the African continent.
