This is the second short novella that takes place after the first volume, Chimera: A Jim Chapel Mission and the first novella, Minotaur: A Jim Chapel Story. It continues the story of illegal AK-47 sold to white supremacist in the USA. The main opponent is done surprisingly good, his story is very strong and not what you’d expect. This makes it a better story for me than the first novella. Once again action packed and once again a victory against all odds (not a spoiler once you know that the ...more

One of my favorite authors is back w/ his favorite ordinary soldier. In Minotaur, Jim Chapel single-handedly took down a Russian arms dealer posing as a retired spy. Now it's time to track down the arms that were dealt... and deal with them! (It's funny because he only has one arm, hur hur, shut up.)

Things go wrong immediately (see: Wellington, David) and a million people in flyover country are at risk of being gassed. The US Army has no choice to respond, but the enemy is just as well equipped

Another action-packed ebook novella featuring Jim Chapel, the hero of Wellington's new series of thrillers. Picking up where the previous novella, MINOTAUR, left off, Chapel's hunt for a stockpile of illegal weapons leads him to a white-supremacist encampment in Colorado, where he uncovers a dangerous and deadly plot. As with all the Chapel books, Wellington weaves in references to classical mythology. Here, he nods at Achilles' use of the loyal Myrmidon mercenaries to fight for his cause at ...more

Great short story once again by David Wellington. This a direct sequel to the first novella MINOTAUR and basically wraps up that story, which was i liked. This story like MINOTAUR didn't have anything beyond regular human badguys (opposed to what is seen in the full length novel CHIMERA). I'm really enjoying reading about Jim Chapel.

Can't wait till the next novel (THE HYDRA PROTOCOL) comes out next year.

Slightly better than "Minotaur", his other ebook entry in the series, but again no character development. The plot was better in this one than in Minotaur, however.
