I actually wanted to gove this a 2.5 but GR wont allow us half stars!

I wanted to read this book as the synopsis was screaming ‘Jackie Collins – watch out!’ and really hoped it was going to be as fabulous as it sounded. After finishing, I think Ms Collins’ crown is safe – for now.

Hollywood Strip follows the life of Callie Lambert as she tries to rise to the top in Hollywood. The first problem with this book is how easy they make it seem for an unknown wannabe actress to suddenly get her break a

Who doesn't love reading a sassy tale about the people, glitz and glamour that is Hollywood? In Hollywood Strip, author Shamron Moore weaves a fast paced entertaining story that has enough juicy drama, titillating scandals and sizzling sex scenes that captivates the reader's attention and keeps them turning the pages.

The story follows the adventures of Callie Lambert as she leaves her home in Michigan for Los Angeles in search of becoming a Hollywood star. The journey that this smart, down-to-ea

Callie is a young Hollywood hopeful, having just moved to LA from her boring life in Michigan. Working a grueling waitressing job, while auditioning for roles, Callie finally lands the lead role in Nympho Cheerleaders Attack!, a surprisingly huge hit. Just like that, Callie’s world changes to one of glamour, fame, and fortune, just what she’d always dreamed of. After a terrible and shocking tragedy hits a bit too close to home for Callie, she soon learns that the Hollywood life may not be a

I was looking for something fun and scandalous to read while on vacation with my hubby. I was pleasantly surprised by "Hollywood Strip". It definitely fit the bill and being from the Los Angeles area, many of the characters felt very real to me. The dialogue is quick and sassy and the pace is good. I was very entertained by the story of Callie, a girl who hits it big as an actress in Hollyweird. One reviewer remarked she found Callie to be superficial but I don't understand that because out of a ...more

Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving this 3 stars because it deserves it. I'm giving it 3 stars because this was just absolutely, ridiculously entertaining.

I picked this book up on a whim at the library, and picked it back up at home this weekend when I wasn't feeling well. This let me turn my mind off and just zone out to this vapid and shallow book, and it was exactly what I needed.

The plot was ridiculous, the characters were one-dimensional, and the sex was gratuitous. And you know what? I lov

Shamron Moore pens "Hollywood Strip" in a fast paced plot filled with scandals and sex. Her main character was well developed, believable and realistic, although a bit "ditsy" which made it more of a good read. Her other characters were also well thought out . A nice easy, fun, summer read that is a must for all chic lit fans.

This review is based on a complimentary copy from the author which was provided for an honest review.

Well...the cover was really cute.
Hollywood Strip by Sharmron Moore

Hollywood Strip seems to be the first book written by Shamron Moore. I could not find any other published work under the author’s name. This book is set to hit shelves June 18, 2013.
Let me start out by saying the synopsis of this book seems promising, but the story didn’t reach its full potential for me. I could see this book being so much better with less filler and more focus. Don’t get me wrong, I liked this book but I didn’t feel vested in the plot.
It seems

Hollywood Strip is perfect for summer. Light and superficial reading. It's about Callie, her life and her quest to rise to the top in Hollywood. Her story takes us from waitressing and getting jobs here and there (after modeling part time and being a dental assistant in her hated Midwest hometown), to finally scoring something to propel her star. There are, of course, other characters. Her gay makeup artist friend Tyler, jealous drug addict friend Candice, Gabby the prostitute turned starlet, gr ...more

Based on the summary, I was expecting something very different. I guess that just goes to show that I shouldn't use summaries to determine good books. I was so bored with this story that I ended up skimming through most of it. I couldn't take the main character and her shallow personality. I didn't care if she ever made it as an actress. This story was very forced and didn't flow. The characters weren't developed enough and it didn't draw me in. ...more

Total crap. A dumb mix of clichéd plot lines and dirty language. I have no issue with the language when it benefits the story, but this was just stupid.
