Hailey Robert's lost her beloved foster parents when she was 14-years old. Her grief was compounded when the system separated her from her foster brother, Jeremy, and placed her with the foster parent from hell. She searched for him as soon as she left the system and now he's back in her life, sharing her apartment. Austin Casey, one of Ethan Cooke's agents and the object of Hailey's silent affection, knows Jeremy's bad news but Hailey has blind eyes when it comes to her brother.

Once again I can only emphasize on the fact that I enjoyed the overall plot of the story.
Hailey Roberts has had it hard but she has kept on the straight and narrow and is making something out of her life if it wasn’t for her brother Jeremy she wouldn’t be about to get into trouble.

Jeremy gets himself into a lot of trouble and pulls Hailey in with him. Hailey feels guilty after the accident and is trying to help Jeremy in the best way possible but she is so gullible it hurt

I’m excited to be back with the hotties from Ethan Security and the sexy vixens they can’t resist in Hailey’s Truth by Cate Beauman. Cate is able to grab me from the beginning to very end, so I am very wager to get started.

If this is what social workers are like, I fear for the children in the system. I fear for Hailey and her ‘brother’ Jeremy.

Hailey was a foster child, hugely independent, reliable, loyal, giving, loving, strong and proud. She had found her forever home, even a little brother,

Hailey really started to get on my nerves. I felt like she was crying ALL THE TIME. I honestly don't know why Austin keep coming back, every time he found her she was crying. And every time Austin tried to say something about Jeremy or Donte, Hailey flipped and called him a liar. How did he put up with that crap for so long? After the hundredth time, I would have called Ethan up and asked to switch places with someone. That HAD to be frustrating... And it made her seem a little dumb. She had all ...more

My first book in this series and by this author. And I found it a nice and rather quick read.

The suspense part was quite interesting, though I should rather say an action part because there is no any investigation job and the villain is known from the very beginning.

I really liked Austin ans a hero. But I had a serious problem with Hailey. At some point she was really driving me mad. Her dumbness and naivety was so overwhelming, I just couldn't stand it any more. Well, I'm not really sure if I

Could not suspend belief enough

I have read the f oily rest two books and happily settled in with the third. What a huge disappointment. Hailey a child raised in the foster care system has created a great life for herself. Her foster brother has not done so well. As a plot twist I got it, but for Hailey to be so f*******g blind is just so unbelievable. It really ruined an otherwise very interesting character. I understand her guilt but the glossing over of such glaring facts. Ughh!

Okay, ignore the updates got books 3 and 4 conflagrated.

Hailey has had a hard life, born to a drug-addicted prostitute she was lucky to be fostered by a loving couple who gave her a great life until they were tragically killed in a car accident a week before her 15th birthday. Hailey's adopted parents had recently fostered a little boy, the two children survived the crash but were separated and put into care.

It's 10 years later, Hailey's the sometimes nanny to Sarah's daughter Kaylee. She's had

Ever since I read ‘Falling For Sarah’ in July of this year, I’ve been completely hooked to Cate Beauman’s The Bodyguards of L.A. County series. Seriously I can’t stop reading these books! I’ve read five of the books now, and I’m reading them completely out of order. But that’s definitely part of what makes this series so good. I’ve been wanting to read Hailey and Austin’s story ever since I read ‘Falling For Sarah’, so when I was finally able to I started reading as fast as I could.

Hailey's got big trouble, only she's too blinded by guilt to see it. Austin knows the score, but he's afraid Hailey would push him away. Both of the characters are young and hyper emotional. They swing between blaming the other and shutting off their feelings.

The danger surrounding them is very real and frightening. Austin tries to protect Hailey, but she refuses to believe the truth about her brother and his associates.

In a tightly knit plot full of cruel and vicious scenes, Hailey wanders in a

Hailey Roberts is the part time nanny for Ethan and Sarah Cooke. She grew up in the foster system along with her brother Jeremy. Jeremy has definitely pulled the wool over Hailey's eyes and promises her he has changed his ways and she believes him even when she shouldn't. This was a little irritating but the over story of Hailey and Austin was better. Hailey was just a little to naive and forgiving for someone who should be more jaded given her experiences growing up and she is more suspect of A ...more

I liked this book - although I thought Hailey's blind trust in someone she just met over the man who has been in her life for years was a little far fetched. I get that she wanted to protect her brother and that would cause some friction between her and Austin, but at some point you've got to get a clue. Also, I though Austin let a prime opportunity to show Hailey the truth after he was led into that trap at the apartments. She was clearly scared for him and would have at least listened to what ...more

Hailey Roberts survived foster care and miraculously blossomed into a responsible woman with her head on straight, worthy of becoming Sarah and Ethan’s nanny. When her brother walks back into her life, Hailey’s friends, seeing him for what he is, send her away on a vacation where things dangerously heat up.

Cate Beauman has done it again. Just like the other books in this series, this was a page-turner which I thought about when I had to put this down. There were scenes of action, graphic at tim

WOW. My head is in a whirl from this one. From the high intensity of Suspense, down to the oh-so yummy Romance, by far, Hailey and Austin have the hottest freaking scenes of the three books! Holy freaking balls and other naughty things! It's so good… or I'm so bad because—I hate to admit it—I reread the hotter than Hades scenes! I could read the entire novel again, and that's rare for me.

I didn't think this 3rd book in the series would measure up to Morgan's Hunter and Falling for Sarah. Boy, wa

3.5, but I'll bump it to 4 because I like the series. I just couldn't connect to this one as much as I did the first two books in the series.

Hailey's ability to completely and totally disregard what was right in front of her face became beyond annoying. She absolutely refused to see anything negative in her brother, Jeremy. She was ruled by guilt over something that happened, beyond her control, when she was fourteen years old. She was also way too impulsive at times which got her into trouble

Well written as the first two. Beauman's books always have wonderful starts especially with the romance. And even afterwards despite the fact that you might find something annoying in the story, you won't want to stop reading them.

The only trouble I had with this one was Hailey's character. I know she and her brother Jeremy have been through a lot but she was way too forgiving and naive. I can understand why Austin called her a kid. She was strong but as Austin says there were soo many times tha

This was Hailey's and Austin's story. Hailey was in books one and two as the nanny and Sarah and Morgan's friend. Hailey has had a crush on Austin (bodyguard) for years. Hailey gets a trip to a Mexican resort for her birthday before she starts a college internship in Mexico. Austin will be there too, and he can no longer resist her. I felt Hailey should have listened to Austin more when he tried to tell her about her brother but she was didn't want to hear bad about her brother Jeremy. Loved the ...more

For me, this was a horrible book with a weak, stupidly innocent main character who burst into tears every time she appeared in the book. Seriously, I don't think there is a moment when she remained dry eyed. I was frustrated by her defense of her brother, annoyed the hero wouldn't tell her facts about her brother that would back up his beliefs, and finally her decision in the end of the book made me grind my teeth in frustration - stupid stupid stupid! I was happy when the book ended, and not in ...more

Hailey’s Truth, book 3 of the Bodyguards of LA County is one rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. Really loved this. Austin and Hailey’s relationship had so many ups and downs. Loved them together but it was frustrating to see what Hailey’s brother was doing and not scream out. The romance was sizzling hot and the action and suspense was fast paced.

Hailey’s Truth centered Austin & Hailey in Cozumel (which by the way I just came back from on vacation), so I really enjoyed the setting. A

I enjoyed other books in this series. However, I am currently struggling to finish this installment. It's extremely difficult to read how naïve, gullible and clueless of Hailey Roberts. Her mental capacity is one of a 12-year-old. For someone who grew up as a foster child she lacks basic common sense. So, it was impossible to enjoy reading this story…I couldn’t enjoy this book at all, it was the worse reading experience I've had in a long time.

I love the Bodyguard series. These are the first books I have read by Cate Beauman but won't be the last. As soon as I read the first book in the series I had to read more. These books have an excellent story. They are interesting and exciting and If you don't want to read the love scenes don't because the books are great without all those details. If you like romantic suspense you will enjoy these books. Very well written.
Another great read I am loving this series. It was great getting Austin's story and although I loved Hailey some of her choices left me tearing my hair out and wanting to give her a good slap. I know she was in situations that would have left me in tears but she seemed to cry constantly at times when you thought oh for heaven's sake not again!! Can't wait to read the next book

Very good mystery romance writing. The problem seemed to me that three quarters through the book the main character Hailey, became somewhat boring. A little redundant listening to her insecurities and tired of Hot lover Austin saying "are you OK?' Kind of predictable story. Not saying it was not a good read since I did enjoy it. I would definitely like to read another Cate Beauman book.

Each book in the series of the L.A. Bodyguards by Cate Beauman is a bit predictable. But they have lots of action, intrigue and romance. The characters are interesting and they carry over from each book to the next. These aren't necessarily a "beach" read because some of the crime that occurs is gut wrenching, but the pleasant parts balance out the difficult.

Talk about intense! Hailey has been looking out for her foster brother for a long time, and ends up in all kinds of trouble because of it. She & Austin make a great team - fighting some very tough battles to ensure they have any future at all. A great read!
