Usually when a story begins with an attractive young woman stranded on the side of a the road in a rainstorm, it does not end well for her. I like this type of story much better!

This little story is hot and steamy instant gratification, just like any good quickie should be. Another of the author's In the Arms of the Law short stories, it has a great combination of a strong and submissive female lead and a brooding Dom with a soft side. It's

Article first published as eBook Review: Wild Thunder by Kacey Hammell on Blogcritics.

Wild Thunder by Kacey Hammell is an erotic short story published as part of Decadent Publishing's The Edge series.

It's a spin-off of her Illusions series, but it still works as a standalone, for the most part. This is the story of Shanay Gold and Ethan James. Some serious trouble went down in Ethan's life, so he escaped to a cabin in theShenandoah Mountains. The trouble is, he's been there for weeks and people

This is a fun and sexy short story/novella that is just long enough for things like a bath, waiting through kids practice, waiting for the doctor or eating lunch. I would however not recommend reading this at work.

I really wish this had been a longer story it felt a lot like the first chapters to a much longer story, I am hopeful we will find out what happens to Shanay and Ethan after the end of this book.
I felt almost like this was a fantastic tease. It was enough steamy hot dominant man and

Wild Thunder was a quick read that left me wanting more and more of Ethan!

Ethan is on a leave of absence from his job as a detective. He has anger issues and he needs to resolve them because it is starting to effect his job and everyday life. He goes to the mountains where he can be by himself and just reflect and figure out what is wrong with him. Then his peace and quiet is interrupted by the one woman who drives him mad Shanay. She shows up all sexy as a kitten in the middle of a horrible

Shannay and Ethan are best buddies, have been for years. Growing up, their parents were great friends which threw them together at every opportunity. As they got older and their hormones began to swirl they started doing considerably more than playing at the park on bicycles and they swapped the treehouse for the bed!

I enjoyed how this story threw me into the moment, a wild night,

Holy smokes, talk about wild!!

Ethan has been hiding out in the family cabin until the one person he never expected shows up at the door. As the storm rages outside, inside the passion that flows between the two is electric. And as the night continues, feelings start to come into light that neither thought was possible.

So will Ethan finally be able to see what's in front of him before it's too late?

This is a very quick read that will have your heart pumping and leave you thirsty for more. It

Wild Thunder by Kacey Hammell is a short story that definitely reads as a prequel to a future novel. I personally do not recommend reading it as a standalone without having read the first two books in the series. I think that background would make this story more enjoyable.

Avid Reader. Romance Author. Redhead…

Canadian-born author Kacey Hammell is definitely a book-a-holic. A romance reader from a young age, she fell in love with happily ever afters. These days, as a multi-published erotic romance author, she enjoys adding a lot of heat, sass, and emotion to the many genres she writes.

Mom of three, Kacey lives her own happily ever after with her perfect hero in
