Ho comprato questo racconto, anche se non amo per niente la Leigh, per incoraggiare la traduzione e pubblicazione di testi snobbati dalle case editrici, in questo caso dalla Mondadori. C’è qualche chicca, nella fattispecie un serpente arruolato anche lui nei SEALS. Per il resto appena un paio di scene d’azione e poi, ovviamente, sesso, sesso e ancora sesso. Cosa che mi aspettavo e di cui quindi non posso lamentarmi. Il problema è che la Leigh non mi pare portata al racconto, che richiede ben altra condensazione ed efficacia. Molto scorretta la punteggiatura.

Lots of spice, a good short story about a hard-edged Navy SEAL and the woman he secretly loves, who is definitely off limits!
Macey must rescue Emerson from kidnappers, the heat is rising between them, but Macey's CO is Em's godfather! With the rescue over, Em is kept in hiding until those behind the kidnapping are found. Unfortunately, the kidnappers had an inside mole and got to them first! Can Macey keep them safe? Will they live long enough for their happy ending?
Although the story is about Macey and Em, my favorite character is Drack, the true hero!

Atlanta Heat narra la historia de Macey y Emmerson, personajes secundarios de la serie Tempting Seals de Lora Leigh.
Fue una historia tierna, divertida y muy entretenida, aunque reconozco que esperaba mas del libro de Macey, ya que su personaje era uno de mis favoritos de la saga.
Aun no estoy segura de si leere la serie Elite Ops, pero si lo hago sera dentro de un par de semanas cuando tenga mas tiempo.

I was really glad Macey got a story of his own, but I was sad it was so short. We got a narrow point of view of this character. I would have hoped it would have been something I could really sink my teeth into, but enjoyed it anyway.

I always really liked Macey and his personality, now couple that with a spunk like Em and you have a very good story. I just wish this was a full novel, but we got a peek into Macey's life and what he's like between the sheets. ;) Wish the story had an epilogue, though.

Una lettura e un protagonista maschile davvero spassosi, era da tempo che volevo leggere di Macey e dopo averlo fatto sono stata pienamente soddisfatta del libro, purtroppo troppo corto. La Leigh con questa serie ha fatto decisamente centro.

COMMENTO PERSONALE: Ringrazio davvero di cuore la casa editrice per avermi spedito questo fantastico seguito della serie The Seals. Devo dire che amo davvero molto lo stile di Lora semplice, essenziale e diretto. Una bellissima storia d’amore descritta nei minimi particolari: esplicita anche la descrizione di come Macey ed Emerson fanno l’amore. Il punto che ho odiato di più del libro logicamente è stata la parte finale quando ho scoperto l’artefice del rapimento… chiaramente come mio solito non faccio nomi perché odio fare spoiler, chiedo scusa a chi invece è un amante di quest’ultimo. Ho amato moltissimo i caratteri dei protagonisti della storia: vividi e veritieri che l’immaginazione non ha fatto per nulla fatica ad immaginare. Invece un altro punto che mi ha sorpresa è l’animale che tiene compagnia per la durata della narrazione ai protagonisti: generalmente come animale domestico si hanno cani, gatti, conigli, pappagalli e così via dicendo… in questo caso invece un serpente! Lascio a voi immaginare. Concludo dicendo che purtroppo a malincuore, questa è una trilogia breve e quindi mi manca da leggere solamente l’ultimo libro, che non vedo l’ora di avere. Secondo me merita tantissimo quindi ve la consiglio davvero tantissimo. Se lo avete già letto fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate voi. Kiss, kiss alla prossima.

Questa volta il protagonista è Macey, un uomo che sa il fatto suo, che combatte per ciò che è suo, un uomo estremamente possessivo. Prova una forte attrazione verso una giovane donna, Emerson, figlioccia del suo capo, quindi un'attrazione che difficilmente può portare benefici, ma Macey non conosce ancora cosa sta per succedere, e quando viene chiamato e reintegrato, e scopre che Emerson è stata rapita... beh immagiate un po' cosa possa mai succedere!
A volte mi sembra di essere ripetitiva, perché le storie della Leigh riescono a coinvolgerti, si lasciano divorare, il suo modo di scrivere intenso, passionale, lo fa rivivere nei suoi personaggi così pieni di sensualità, di erotismo senza mai però uscire fuori, senza mai essere volgare.

In questa seconda novella letta, la scrittrice ravviva un po’ la storia
con un po’ di azione,precisamente con il rapimento di Emerson,
figlioccia dell’ammiraglio a capo dei Seal. Macey è l’uomo alpha
(decisamnete alpha!!) che sarà incaricato di trovarla e trarla in
salvo. Anche qui scelgo di non raccontarvi altro, per non rovinarvi la lettura.
Il fatto che siano novelle è l’unico difetto che ho riscontrato, perché
una volta iniziata la lettura, non si riesce a smettere e purtroppo la
lettura veloce e sbrigativa la penalizza. Avrei trovato interessante
approfondire la conoscenza dei personaggi e delle loro storie.
Per il resto mi è piaciuta decisamente questa autrice, come nella
prima novella, mi ha fatto fremere, sentire e toccare con mano i
personaggi e i luoghi descritti.
E’ decisamente un’autrice da tenere d’occhio!!

No puedo decir q me haya gustado demasiado, tal vez xq ya me había cansado un poco de los SEAL´s? No hay chance...jajaja Pero realmente no conecté con la historia de Macey y Emerson. El tuvo algunas apariciones aquí y allá en los libros anteriores, pero no llegó a atrapar mi atención, como por ej Nate Malone, q sí definitivamente vamos a ver q pasó con él.
Y, aunq la historia de Emerson y Macey, con el secuestro incluído, fue bastante interesante, simplemente no alcancé a creerme el romance. Y como yo soy fan de romántica, si el romance no me cuadra, se cuaja la leche...

Questa novella è sempre hot, ma anche avventurosa e romantica.
La Leigh ha inserito vari elementi: una ragazza che è rischioso desiderare, un rapimento, un gruppo di terroristi spietati da ricercare. Sia Macey il duro (ma innamorato) SEAL, che Emerson sono delineati in modo nitido e risultano una coppia ben assortita.
Finale molto dolce: dirò solo che se qualcuno da bambino aveva il sogno di una casa sull’albero, allora a volte i sogni possono avverarsi.

Atlanta heat is Maceys story. After two years which seems to be the ongoing time to fight your attraction in this series, Emerson is taken by kidnappers. He and Nathan come to the rescue and of course Em qnd Macey are going to be hiding away waiting out the bad guy.
This one was not bad. But it wasn't great. Its spicy, short, and well there is a big snake. Emerson was a struggle for me as a character. She just was irritating and not 100 percent sure why. All in all decent read though.

Macey and Emerson worked well as a couple.
Likeable plot with good characters. Had more story and less sex than previous books which I appreciated.
Sorry about Drack though, how sad.
Good story that obviously feeds on from previous books.
I had read Nathan’s story before this so have definitely read these out of order.
Have read and reviewed these books long ago, enjoyable rereading them.

Sexy! Each book is following a formula but Lora Leigh writes each character so uniquely they are all very entertaining and HOT HOT HOT with intriguing stories that have you rooting for all the MC's all the way through, plus the stories build on each other and that just makes them even more engaging.

Feisty Emerson has it bad for SEAL and he's been trying to resist the temptation that is Emerson. These two are fun with them snapping and lusting after each other. After he rescues her from kidnappers they are forced to be in close quarters and everything finally comes to a head.

This is a short book but, no less good. I like LoraLeigh's book especially the Navy Seals, the black ops and the related stories. I wish this book was longer...I want to hear more about all of their adventures.

Bottomline: Lots of spice and very well writen.
A great little short story about a tough Navy SEAL & the woman he (secretly) loves. Story was more interesting based on how they are connected and the mission he goes on. I loved it.

Nice quick read with action and sexual tension between Emmerson & Macey. I thought it was pretty interesting that there was some POV from Drack the anaconda.
