Trisha Wolfe is one of those authors I've been very curious about for some time now, so when I got the chance to read Astarte's Wrath, I couldn't say no. But I decided I wanted to read Destiny's Fire first, even though both of these are independent and can be read in any order. And I'm kind of glad I did because, while DF impressed me, I did seriously love Astarte's Wrath.

This story takes place in Egypt, under the reign of Cleopat

Recommends it for: fans of the ancient world and PNRs.

This book did a great job of introducing the history in Destiny's Fire, and even setting up for the future of the series. But it is still its own amazing story. The two novels dont depend upon each other and you can read one or the other on its own. But I would definitely recommend reading them both because they are amazing. I still slightly prefer Destiny's Fire because it is more my speed. I prefer the fun, fast-pace and the feel of YA romance. Also, Reese is more my type of guy. Astarte's

Astarte's Wrath has so many twist and turns and SO MUCH SWOONAGE! I absolutely loved this spin on Cleopatra's reign, especially since it was more "behind the scenes" then I have seen before!

My goodness I can't even begin to say how much I loved the story of Star and Xarion-and trust me you will want to read this as soon as it released.

I want to marry Xarion, like right now! I have to say the end of this story was so beautifully written and broke my heart into millions of little pieces but it was

I have so many things to say about Astarte's Wrath. At first, I was so, so worried! A few small things had changed since I first read it in the beta format, but I don't really think that it impacted my love of this book very much at all. My only complaint was that it was slow in the beginning.

Astarte, Xarion and Phoenix were still fairly good characters, in my opinion. I still thought that Phoenix and Xarion were swo

I’ve been so excited for Astarte’s Wrath’s release since… ah, I think it’s actually been more than a year ago when Trisha Wolfe first mentioned her concept to me. And now, it’s finally here!!!! Yay!!!! *Happy Dance.* This is such an amazing book! I’m so honored that I got the chance to read this ARC and had the opportunity to absolutely fall in love with it!

Now, I’ll admit, the first chapter, I was a bit lost. Starting with such intense action, I just couldn’t follow what was going on or why a

Astarte's Wrath was brilliant. A magical twist on Egyptian history, Trisha Wolfe has written the most fascinating story that left my heart in pieces.

I didn't really know what to expect from this novel. I've never read a story based off of Egyptian history and mythology before, though I've found the subject interesting ever since our study of it in the sixth grade. I'm glad this was the way I started because I have fallen even more in love with the culture and mythol

This book right here has done something to me no other book has been able to do since Vampire Empire by Clay & Susan Griffith. Two completely different stories, but gave me the same emotion while reading. I was swept off my feet and left torn, in love, emotional and happy in one big ball.

When I began reading Astarte's Wrath I had such a hard time with the first chapter. Not sure what it was really, but I reread chapter one and a little of two about three times before I was finally able to keep m

Astarte's Wrath is perfect for any huge Egyptian mythology buffs. Riddled with war, chaos, history, and mythology, this book is intense, full of action, and tragic. It takes place during the Battle of Actium (between Octavian of Rome and Cleopatara of Egypt) so it's safe to say that there is a lot of loss, betrayal, and devastation. Entire empires and kingdoms are at stake and with politics being what they are, there is plenty of blood.

I am so excited to share Astarte’s Wrath with you all! I read Destiny’s Fire last year and loved it. A lot. I knew Trisha was going to write a sequel, so I waited and waited. Finally, she gave us Astarte’s Wrath. Here’s the thing, though: it’s not technically a sequel. This book is set thousands of years prior to Destiny’s Fire. They are connected, but this could be read as a standalone. I guarantee you won’t be able to read one without the other, though.

Astarte's Wrath is an absolutely beautiful historical romance with supernatural elements. I fell in love with the way author Trisha Wolfe twisted this fictional love story with the true history of Cleopatra's son, Caesarion (Xarion), the pharaoh of Egypt. Xarion and Star’s romance is sexy, humorous, and heart-wrenching as they fill a lifetime of love in the short time they have with each other. Xarion had my heart with the tender, sensual way he loves Star. He’s is a beautiful, breathtakingly se ...more

Astarte's wrath begins with quite a bang. There is lots of action, and it is a fast paced and addictive read.
The historical aspects of the story were well done. It felt natural to the world building and as person that usually doesn't do historical fiction that is a very good thing.
Liked how tough Star is and how she respects her position and takes it seriously but also knows when a fight is needed. She is a great main character to read about with her resolve, her skills, and how she questions

Astarte's Wrath is my first Trisha Wolfe novel I have read and will not be my last. Trisha Wolfe is an amazing story teller with a beautiful writing voice. Loved how she made me feel like I was right there in her amazing world she created. Especially the beach and dance scene. I loved how her imagination world with magic, romance, blended nicely with Egyptian history. I loved the forbidden love as it was nicely done that I was giggling, smiling, crying with sad and happ

This book was given to me by the author in return for an honest review.

Trisha Wolfe has created a wonderful and unique New Adult Paranormal series!!!

This is book 2 in the Kythan Guardians series. But actually this is the prequel to book 1, "Destiny's Fire". This book helps the reader better understand the Kythan Guardians. "Destiny's Fire" is an urban fantasy taking place in 2040. But this book's setting is ancient Egypt.

What an incredible look back into the captivating origin of the Kythan guardians! I absolutely loved Destiny's Fire when it came out last year, and discovering the history of the Kythan through the eyes of the mesmerizing Astarte was the perfect link between hers and Dez's stories. In a magical world of unrest and slavery, Astarte faced betrayal, doubt, and temptation at the hands of an enemy she never could have imagined; but her forbidden love for the devoted (and completely swoon-worthy!) pha ...more

It's official - I'm a Trisha Wolfe fan. She has such a wonderfully easy writing style and a true talent for authentic world building and intricate plot weaving. She's the master of surprise, and while reading Astarte's Wrath I found myself gasping out loud more than once when the plot made an unexpected turn.

And then there's the chemistry between the two leads - even before we meet him we feel Star's connection to him, and this story has one of THE best "first time" scenes I've ever read...and t

This is one story you do NOT want to miss out on!!!! Trisha Wolfe has an amazing talent and her story just proves how awesome her writing is! There is so much chemistry you'll have to wipe the steam from your glasses! It is so easy to fall into Star's(Astarte) world. This is rich in detail, and the history and research that would go into such a book is amazing. I am totally hooked!!! I want more!!!

One of Trisha Wolfe's absolute best works! Wolfe is a master at bringing the steamy, but she outdoes herself in ASTARTE'S WRATH. Egyptian research drips from this story, but it's weaved in so seamlessly that it heightens the world building versus weighing it down. The guy characters are sexy, the story is fast-paced, and the main character is someone I want to be. Overall, a winning story you shouldn't miss!

Mythology has always been one of my greatest loves, and the way Trisha Wolfe wove Egyptian beliefs into an historical fantasy novel when creating ASTARTE'S WRATH immediately intrigued me. Cleopatra and her son Caesarion are brought to life in the tumultuous period before they are conquered by Octavian. If you know your history, you'll know that it's impossible for this book to have a complete happy ending, however, Wolfe manages to strike an intriguing balance. ASTARTE'S WRATH is a companion nov ...more

"My title be damned. I've loved you for ages. And I'm going to make you mine."

Talk about a forbidden epic romance that took the saying "against all odds" to a whole new level! I know it says in the blurb that this would involve "A tragic love story.", but after finishing it, I'd like to think of it as an epic romance that went beyond the earthly realm instead. More than just being a doomed and tragic romance, I think that it was actually hopeful and inspiring because it was the start of a wh

Do you guys have any idea how much I loved this story? OMG so much! I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I started Astarte’s Wrath by Trisha Wolfe. I knew that I’ve loved all that she has written so far, and fell in love with Destiny’s Fire. But Astarte’s Wrath is, by far, theeeeeeeeeee best book that Trisha Wolfe has written thus far!

This book fascinated me in the best kind of ways. Bringing back the beautiful scenery and stories, whether tragic or beautiful of the Ancient Egyptian time period when Pharoahs and Cleopatra were still around. I've always been fascinated with this part of history and this book did not disappoint in the very least. It made me more interested in Ancient Egypt overall and the people who lived in this time period. I even had to look up a few gods here and there during reading this book because I wan ...more

Wow. I've never read Trisha Wolfe's works before picking up this novel and must say I'm astounded by her talent. Poignant and sensual, Astarte's Wrath is a beautiful story of an all-encompassing love, with the perfect blend of history and paranormal elements. Before I began Astarte’s Wrath, I had an opportunity to talk to Trisha about the book and the extensive research she’d done in preparation of writing it.
