I'm Sooo heart broken AGAIN. I love love love this book. I loved the series when it was titled Karma under a different publisher. I just had to read it over again to see if the same thing would happen...

The love story between Lucas and Justine is what most women dream of. How we want to believe it can happen for us one day. Justine is living our fairytale until Simone, Justine's "Best Frienemy" decides that Justine has had a too perfect life and decides try on Justine's magic slippers....

This book is such an emotional read that I was teary eyed through out...even though I knew what would happen, I read it and re-lived it as if it was my first time.

A must read in my opinion....

I enjoyed this read by Ms. Eubanks! She really told a good story and I felt like I knew the characters. I laughed, cried, got pissed, and was in love. These are all emotions I look for in a read. The only downside is that there were parts of the story that seemed just a little bit slow to me.

What can I say? I really enjoyed Love and Consequences. I couldn't stand Simone. I really can't say that enough....I CAN"T STAND SIMONE!!! :( I was going to need therapy if she made one more trifflin move. I really fell in love with all of the characters in this story, and LUCAS CAIN!! That is my new man!! He was a little damaged from past experiences, but he was everything that Justine or anyone else could have wanted in a man. It felt like I was watching a movie the whole time. Hm...that's something for Sabrina to consider...a movie! I enjoy Sabrina Eubanks writing style so much. She makes all her characters so life-like. I couldn't get over how naive Justine was and how she never wanted to stand up to Simone or face reality for that matter. She never really put a fight for nothing. Holly and Noah were truely ride or die friends, that tried to keep a balance in their bestfriends lives, by any means necessary. As for the other characters: Poor Nine....he really wasn't about that life, but you reap what you sow. Darius he was out to get whatever he could from Justine. He knew that he was being used, but it didn't matter to him as long as he got a piece. Well I have to go read Part 2, so that I can go check on my man Lucas. He needs me. lol... Shout out to Ms. Eubanks, she had FIYAH coming from her pen when she wrote this one!

Even though I originally read this book when it was entitled "Karma" under Triple Crown, I still enjoyed reading this revised version. Sabrina Eubanks has yet to disappoint me with her work. She has a way of pulling the reader in from the the first page and keeping their attention until the last word. I felt so many emotions while reading this book. The love between Justine and Lucas was not only believable but it was also relatable. I laughed, I cried, I got pissed and I reminisced on the situations that I have experienced in my own relationship. That damn Simone had me wanting to throw my tablet into the wall, she's a poster child for the saying "keep your enemies close". I'm excited to read part 2 and catch up on the characters that I loved and loved to hate.

Wow I just finished reading this hand the last 10 pages really had me in tears. This so unexpected ending boosted my rating from 4 to 5 stars because it was just that shocking and good. This was a wonderful tale of love and all the good an bad things that go win it. Lucas and Justine just felt like fate from that very first meeting. It was an extremely passionate coming together of these two. Then came hurricane Simone. The chick was literally insane. She truly got what she deserved in the end. This book really kept me on my toes for the entire long and juicy read. Just when I thought one thing was happening the total opposite did. Well done and I am so curious to see where the next book in this series goes.

Lucas Cain, Lucas Cain! When you read this story Mr. Lucas Cain is the man!! He is a detective for the NYPD and is very dedicated to his job and the fact that he is a playa. Lucas runs through numerous women never giving them too much thought that is until he meets Justin Greer, and is struck by her beauty and is in love at first sight. Justine is a very famous news reporter who is just enjoying life, she hasnt really been on the dating scene to much because she consumes herself with work. A simple gesture from Lucas leasds to a growing romance between the two of them. While Justines bestfriends are excited to see their friend finally happy, there is also a backstabber who is secretly jealous and wants to see everything fail. Justine's friend Simone is that person, only caring about herself she wants what she wants when she wants it. Not caring about her best friend since college Simone decides shes sick of Ms. Perfect always getting what she wants and she wants a sample of what she has. Will Lucas be able to fight off his playa ways? Will Justine realize that her friend is after what she has before its too late? Will Simone get what shes came for, or will what she want and ruin her friendships?

I have been hearing so much about this book and I finally decided to sit down and read it and I enjoyed it. I loved that the book was written in NY and that the main character was a working man. I loved Lucas I think anyone who reads this and just tell the amount of swag this character has and makes you drawn to him wishing he was real. I loved how Justine and Lucas relationship was they seemed to balance each other out and they really tried to make it work best for them. I could not stand Simone's behind she was urking me so bad as I read this book, who acts like that, well there are real life females who act this way, but she was the worst. There was a lesson to be told though from the story, if someone shows you who they are then listen, because they are not going to change and Justine was very naive to Simone's ways. If you are looking for a book with drama, action, betrayal and also has a side of romance then this is the book you should pick up and read. Great job to the author and I am going to continue the series to see what else is happening!

This book takes you on one hell of a ride. I blew through this within a few hours because it was that good. Lucas is a bonafide player, but when he takes one look at Justine, he's done for. Justine is sweet, professional, she comes from a good family and is just an all around good girl, but unfortunately, her friend Simone hates every damn good thing about Justine and sets out to ruin Justine's relationship with Lucas.

Justine and Lucas' relationship starts off very solid. He ignores Simone's advances because he knows her type: whore! Need I say more? But for some reason, he is extremely attracted to her and she slowly wears him down. I wanted to slap the shit out of Lucas on numerous occasions for his stupid behavior. He loves Justine, but his weakness for Simone drove me up a wall. Apparently Simone had a magic coochie because no man could resist her and she used that to her advantage at every turn. She became so despicable that her own friends turned against her. Simone was a sad, sad soul. She had her issues, but I just couldn't feel sorry for her after everything that she did.

Justine and Lucas went through hell and back in their tumultuous relationship, but they never stopped loving each other to the bitter end and believe me, the end was definitely bitter. There were some editing issues, but the way the story was told, editing was the last thing on my mind, I just needed to know what happened next. Very good book and I'm glad to see there is a part 2 because I want more!!!

So many emotions!

I loved this book! Hated Simone and all she stood for! Coveting someone's life is never a good thing. It didn't end well for her or her friends. I felt like Lucas didn't do enough to resist the temptation and brought all of this on him and Justine. Yes, Karma will always bite you in the butt! I would be ok with it ending with this novel but must know what happens next with Lucas and Noah! Great read Sabrina Eubanks, you always bring the heat!!!

In life they say for every action there is a reaction...and I guess with all things: consequences..whether good or bad. But when Justine meets Lucas nothing is foreseen because love just has a way of making people blind to a lot of things. And when consequences breathe life to revenge, will love prevail?

It took me some time to finish this read. With my mind being preoccupied with other things maybe I didn't give it a chance in the beginning but I'm glad I stuck with it. Even though it took long for me to get into this read it was really good. It had all the things I enjoy; suspense and drama all wrapped up in urban contemporary. Its not your typically urban read and I like that. It was a good 'cop' book. It didn't lack a good storyline but I wished there was a little more details in some of the scenes. The ending was very suspenseful and really had me getting all into the book; left me wanting more.

Wow! This was such an amazing book from beginning to end. My heart literally broke in two with the ending. This book was filled with true love, hope, temptation, and disappointments. I was so mad throughout parts of the book and screaming aloud in my bed while reading. LOL. What I loved most is that it's not your ordinary urban book. It was contemporary with characters who are successful and hard working. Who weren't selling drugs and cussing and killing. It showed the story of ordinary people. I cried, laughed, screamed, cursed. I would definitely recommend this book. After the ending i'm not really looking forward to part 2 but I will go ahead and dive in.

Awesome!

Sabrina Eubanks is a favorite author of my co-workers book club. after reading this novel I can see why. The men are fine and flawed. They are unapologetic in their in masculinity. The women are gorgeous and professionals. they all have one thing in common...skewed ideals on what true love really is. the story kept me spellbound. The action and suspense was maddening. I am addicted. on to the next novel.
