as with all of JLAs novellas, i wish this was longer! there is a lot of great material here and the story definitely has enough room for some aspects to be expanded.

regarding the mystery, i appreciate how it wasnt too over the top. a stalker feels like something an ordinary person could experience, so that felt realistic to me, as well as alanas reactions to it. and i thought the romance was nice. its 100% a case of lust turning into love, which i was fine with because it has good pacing. but i know many readers might not like the “instalove” feel of it all. which is something i think could have been developed more had the story been longer.

but overall, a short and sweet story with JLAs classic storytelling.

I'm excited to see Chandler and Miss Gore battle out the sexual tension. But I'm even more excited to see the priceless expression from Chad when he realises something is going down between his older bro and his publicist aka the-spawn-of-satan-turned-matchmaking-vixen-and-he-has-like-hate-relationship-with. Should be hella entertaining.
Dying to read some of this anticipated greatness!

FULL REVIEW
Jennifer L Armentrouts books are serious pages turners.
Her books literally keep you up at night wanting more and you don't even feel a little tired about it...and before you know it the sun is rising.
I will say that I felt the plot was quite predictable but I'm not really complaining and it definitely didn't hinder my view of this book which is...
This was my favourite of the three Gamble Brothers and I know exactly why.
1) Chandler...I mean come on need I say more?
2) Bodyguard...um I would pay for your services .....company.
3) The romance was actually so believable and I just wanted more of their relationship...the two of them being together in the most innocent sense of the word was enough for me
4) I LOVED EVERY CHARACTER.
5) Witty barbs and banter was off the charts and it had me bursting with laughter.

All in all a brilliant conclusion to the Gamble Brothers trilogy. As with many trilogies I'm familiar with it usually starts off amazing and kinda goes down hill from there...
But this one?
It started off good
Then it got great
And now it's effing glorious.

Chandler was just a professional at work and in bed with a caring personality that stems from his need to protect people and an overwhelmingly sinful mouth to boot. And que Miss Alana Gore, who exudes a 'run-and-hide-your-balls-boys' attitude. This publicist from hell, with her...rather interesting affiliation to Chandlers brother, Chad and inadvertently his wife-to-be Bridget, just spices up this book so much. Her snarky remarks and vulgar 'swears-like-a-sailor' mouth in combat with Chandlers illegal lips is one entertaining roller-coaster that really never stops.
So put on your seatbelt everyone and enjoy this one hell of a ride.

Like with all of J Lynn's novels, well, go in expecting really fun and spunky characters with dozens of laugh-your-arse off moments alongside some pretty intense sexy times. And that's all you really need to know, because I can definitely assure people who love this style of book that you will enjoy it no matter what!
So with that, ill leave you to go and enjoy some of the sexiest fictional characters ever.

THREE GAMBLE BROTHERS STARS.

"I can promise you that there won't be a second of this you won't enjoy."

description

I have always loved this series and it feels like I have been waiting for forever to get my hands on the third book in this series and finally 'meet' the elusive, Chandler Gamble. What J Lynn can't create in the sexy stakes is not worth mentioning so if are expecting this book to be a steamy, sexy 'take-me-now-please' Gamble style treat then you will not be disappointed. This Gamble brother packs more than a punch in the alpha trope and happily he also brings the humour too. Readers be warned this is one delicious ride, you are destined to be addicted to yet another fictional character.

What's it all about?
After a shaky first impression, Chandler Gamble was never supposed to fall in lust for the buttoned up, stuffy, suit wearing publicist but one look at this feisty woman and this bodyguard can't resist the tempting attraction especially when the star of his fantasies comes asking for his help. Alana Gore is fearing for her safety after falling victim to hate mail and crime so she approaches the only man who she trusts to protect her life, only problem is she feels an attraction that she can't ignore anymore, but Alana has never been trusting of giving her heart to another. As the attraction turns to what could be something more this unlikely couple have to decide to give into an undeniable attraction or say goodbye to what could be true love.

description

What did I love?
This series has always held my undivided attention the first book in the series, 'Tempting the best man' was one of my first kindle e-books and I knew from that point on that these brothers would hold a special place in my heart. Everything about this series is sexy, sweet and total escape reading. 'Tempting the bodyguard' is a book I've been waiting some time for and overall it delivered just what I expected and J Lynn most certainly did not disappoint in her delivery of the perfect alpha, Chandler Gamble is complete fictional character perfection, he beings the steamy, the sexy and he also has a wickedly sarcastic humour that was laugh out loud comedy standard. Our leading lady, Miss Alana Gore took some warming too but I actually enjoyed the change in pace that this character brought to the novel, I felt like the author switched things up perfectly by delivering a not so fluffy and loveable heroine but by the end I was rooting for a happy ending for this unlikely couple. J Lynn specialises in bringing the sexy in her brazen books and I'm happy to report that 'Tempting the bodyguard' had the heat factor turned up
to blazing hot. Overall this book didn't exceed my expectations but I certainly had fun reading it. I'm hoping J Lynn has plenty more to bring to the brazen collection and I'll be here ready to read.

description

Why not five?
The story itself was a little on the predictable side, I felt like the book was neither suspenseful or out and out romantic it seemed to me like it was confused with what it wanted to deliver. I also found it the least favourite out of the three books in the series and when comparing it it's predecessors it definitely lacked that five star quality. Nevertheless I enjoyed this book and liked it for what it is; a sexy, easy read with a drool worthy alpha.

Final thoughts ...
J Lynn undoubtably is an author that deserves respect, she consistently produces well written books across a range of different genres and I have an admiration for her romantic writing abilities. As for this series the gamble brothers are not to be missed, if you love quick, easy and 'drop-your-knickers' style hot then you do not want to miss out on this series, in fact I can guarantee if you love this genre and the brazen collection that you will adore these brothers. Go grab it on release day but until then go catch up on the series with book one and two ...
Enjoy, kisses.

From Tempting the Player (Gamble Brothers #2):

Chad stared at his publicist/babysitter/daughter of Satan. “Jesus, woman, I do not envy the man you end up with.”
Miss Gore’s smile was pure evil. “Neither do I.”

3.5 Tempting Stars

He can protect her from everyone except himself.

I love this series, but more than that I simply love the Gamble brothers. I fell for Chase, I lusted after Chad, and I was utterly drooling over Chandler. My oh my but the man was potent.

After the little peak at him and his potential match in Tempting the Player. I was more than a little curious how he'd be bringing the uber uptight and super prissy Alana Gore to her knees. No pun intended...well...maybe a little.

I think that had I read this book immediately after the 2nd, I may not have enjoyed it as much. I'm not going to lie, I absolutely hated Alana in the last book. And I mean I hated her

Hey! Don't look at me like that. If you read Tempting the Player you know exactly what I mean. Alana was a bitch with a capital B. But I also knew that beneath that tightly knit exterior there just had to be a woman that would captivate someone like Chandler...and I wasn't wrong. While she wasn't my favorite heroine in the series...not even close, I still ended up liking her by the end. It may have been the fact that she swore like a sailor. I tend to have soft place in my little fucking heart for heroines that fucking swear. What? It's a kinship of sorts. Don't fucking judge me.

When Alana receives more and more progressively threatening hate mail, she knows no better man to turn for help to than Chandler Gamble. It doesn't hurt that she also happens to have an undeniable pull to the sexy bodyguard...even if she does refuse to give into her desires. But after a year of threatening letters that have now escalated to more physical means, she's desperate. After all, she's accumulated quite a lengthy suspect list through her work as a PR rep. It's safe to say she's made more enemies then friends, most recently including Chandler's brother Chad.

But when Alana turns up on Chandler's door stop, he knows the chase is now fully on, and he's a man that has no problem fighting dirty to get what he wants.

The suspense part of the story was fairly weak. I had it figured out pretty early in the book. But that didn't really bother me as I didn't see it as the main draw. I enjoyed reading about the progression of the relationship between Alana and Chandler. The steam factor never fails to let me down in this series.

The author accomplished something that I never thought would happen, and softened Alana through the book. I can't say that I loved her by the end. But I certainly liked her a little more. Chandler is what ultimately made it for me though.
You never have to give away a piece of you to me. But you can have as many pieces of me as you want.

An enjoyable and steamy continuation of a great series. My favorite is still Chad, but Chandler is a close second. There were a few parts that I found myself getting bored and skimming through, but nothing too bad. If you're a fan of this series, I'd definitely recommend reading all the books in order. They can be read as standalones, but they're certainly more enjoyable read in order. You slowly get to know a little more and more about each brother. Really looking forward for more from this author.

RATING: 3 Sexy Gamble Brothers Hearts!! :)

“You’re absolutely beautiful when you lose control.”

Tempting the Bodyguard is a story we enter into expecting to be entertained, and rightly so given whose work we are reading; J. Lynn is the go-to author for all things sexy, sweet and humorous. And while this does deliver in all three aspects, it, unfortunately, cannot be put into the same category of 5-star reads as its companions.

On the surface this is pure pleasure; a read not unique in its setup but entertaining in its delivery. The anticipation of the elusive Chandler Gamble that was built in prior books wonderfully reaches its climax in this, giving us the perfect concoction of kinky alpha-male sexiness and sarcastic humour, which lends to the comical banter between him and Alana Gore – the feisty, seemingly aloof but with veiled insecurities publicist – not to mention, some very scorching smexy scenes. Likable characters, steamy sexual tension, and a romance wrought with just the right amount of emotions are staples for this author, and in that regard, this read does not disappoint.

The incompetence though comes from the story’s inability to hold our interest for a long duration due to its predictability, weak stalker mystery and suspense and rushed ending, instead only drawing fleeting curiosity and mild interest on our part. The unrealism also factors to the out of place, almost choppy, realization and subsequent declarations of love, leaving us feeling as though Chandler and Alana are but caricatures, mimicking love without making us believe it’s real.

Tempting the Bodyguard is certainly a quick and easy read, and collectively enjoyable; perfect for those who don’t mind the simplicity of Brazen romances or anything J. Lynn writes (me! ;P). However, those who devour the more complex romances and are more critical when it comes to character development, look else where or likely be disappointed by an all-to-familiar running read. Overall, although this is not an expectations pleaser nor my favorite of the three, this sexy series is one not to be missed.

4 Sexy Stars.

Finally we have the story of Chandler, the oldest of the Gamble brothers. He owns a security company, so when Alana Gore (you remember her from the previous book. Chad’s publicist from hell!) receives several life-threats he is the person she goes to.
Things between them soon start to get heated and lines soon begin to be crossed. But Alana’s past doesn’t allow her to trust or feel. That only brings heartbreak. What she didn’t expect was for Chandler to be even more stubborn than she is. He wants her and he’s decided to chase her.

description

Chandler his decided to make her understand they could be great to each other. And he will chase her until she admits that she wants it as badly as he.
But how do you keep chasing someone who refuses to be caught?

description

Rating: 4 Stars.
Storyline: It was refreshing to see a story about a heroine that everyone seemed to hate but it was, in fact, a nice person. Sometimes you have to change your perspective to understand better someone. I also liked how the girl was the commitment-phobic for a change. It was a sexy and sweet romantic story that I’ve read in a swift.
Writing Style: Third person. Dual POV. Jennifer Armentrout always has a funny and perfect way of writing. If you read some of her books you know that she always deliver a good story. And if you have never read a book of hers, well, now is a great time to start.
Character Development: I loved Chandler. He was without a doubt my favorite Gamble brother. (And I have a thing with players, so he is really that good!). He was sexy, sweet, knew what he want and wasn’t afraid to admit it. And had a kinky side to him that was great. Alana was good. Not great, but good. I get it that she had a bad background, but was not so tragic to justify some of her insecurities and actions. The other brothers disappointed me a bit, they were assholes to Alana several times. It was understandable where they came from and they ended up redeeming themselves, but it was too little, too late.
Steam: Some pretty hot moments.

EDIT 5/13
Jennifer entertains as always. Toss up between 3.5 and 4 stars . The Epilogue could have been better and I wouldn't mind a sequel *hint* *hint*

Teaser on Jennifer's (A.K.A the author's) FB page

Struggling to get a grip on her quickly rising anger, she snapped the file folder against his chest. “Do you want to look at them? Or do you want to continue staring at my breasts like a pig?”
That ghost of smile spread into a full smirk. “I think I’ll keep staring at your breasts like a pig.”
“Well, that’s lovely.”
“They sure are,” he replied.
Alana took one deep, even breath. “Mr. Gamble, I’m here—”
“Because you need my help,” he interrupted. “I got that.”
“And I’m trying to show you what I’ve been receiving.” She smacked the folder off his chest once again. “So can we— ”
His hand shot out, as fast as a cobra striking, startling her. He wrapped his fingers around her wrist, gently but firmly. Lowering his head, his lips came within an inch of hers. So close she could taste the minty scent of his breath. “While I liked to be smacked in the chest with random objects from time to time, you keep it up, I’m going to think that’s an invitation for me to return the favor.”
Her mouth dropped open.
“On a different part of the body,” he added, winking. “And with my hand.”

Come on. These two just don't work for me and he tries too hard and she tries so hard not to be affected and it's all just a big unrealistic headache. i have pretty much foreseen where the plot is going even with it so muddled up with sex. Sadly, i thought this one would of been my favorite. Disappointment, damn you.

4.5 Stars!!!

I am so happy and at the same time…so sad! I love the Gamble brothers (my favorite one is still Chase Gamble from book 1 ;)) and I really hope Jennifer decides to write some more books in the series. All three books are light, entertaining and extremely steamy! But let’s focus on ‘Tempting the Bodyguard’.

“We’re going to hell for this.”
“But what a fun way to go, right?”

The story: Alana Gore is in serious danger or at least she believes she is. The letters from some psycho might be a good enough reason to panic, especially when in the last one he/she actually states: “I’ll be seeing you tonight”. So she doesn’t know what to do because she has no family or close friends in the city. The only person she thinks can help her is Chandler Gamble.

Chandler is (let’s say) a little surprised when Miss Gore (his brother’s ex publicists) interrupts his evening. After hearing her out, he is not sure he can take the job as her bodyguard because there is not enough evidence that she is in danger. However after some incidents in the next couple of days…Chandler decides to take her to his home in order for her to be protected. This (of course) is not the only reason…he is also seriously attracted to Alana.

Alana is not an easy person to deal with. She has a reputation of a total (let’s be honest) b*tch. But when Chandler starts to spend time with her, he soon finds out she is not this awful person everyone thinks she is. Soon he wants more from their ‘relationship’ but Alana is too scared to let go of all her fears (from her past). Chandler will have to find a way to win her heart and to keep her safe…Not an easy task!

I am such a huge Jennifer Armentrout/ J Lynn fan!!!! And one of the reason I am such a fan is that she never disappoints. All her stories are well-written, absolutely captivating, romantic and (some of them) steamy as hell!!! The Gamble Brother series is one of my absolutely favorites. These three guys are absolutely amazing!
I loved the banter between Alana and Chandler. There were many ‘LOL moments’ ;)

“There was a good chance she was going to punch him in the face. “First off, fuck you.”

His blue eyes gleamed with mischief. “I like where this is heading.”

Correction: she was going to kick him in the balls.”

I definitely recommend this series!!!

I always enjoy any JLA books and this was not exception. She has a knack for writing the hot dudes and lovable female characters. This lady is a legit writing machine. She excels at every genre she writes.

The reason for the low rating would most likely be the characters, specially Alana. It definitely took a while to warm up to her but I still didn’t totally love her. I got her struggles and how hard it was for her to open up to Chandler. And Chandler was great. I really liked him. I mean how can anyone not like a Gamble brother?

Overall, I think it was a fun read and a great wrap up to the Gamble brother books. Again, JLA never disappoints.

Really excited to read Chandler's story, but I really loathed the Alana Gore character. She was unredeemably hateful in Tempting the Player. I mean I completely HATED her.

UPDATE:

I tried to read it- but I was fed up with the fucking gymnastics the author had to perform to make Alana redeemable. It's just that there is nothing here. Not with Alana, and not with Chandler. He's basically a walking hard-on, and the greatest claim to a personality is that she curses like a sailor- supposedly- when she's alone (or with Chandler). To make Alana sympathetic Lynn tried pulling every trick in the book: orphan, raised by cold Grandmother, she's actually hates forcing people to do what she wants, oh and at one point she shoves her bodyguard- who is repeatedly the WORST bodyguard ever- out of the way and takes a bullet for him. He's constantly berating his brothers into feeling bad about being angry at Alana for her actions in Tempting the Player. As if she were fixing Chad's PR image out of the goodness of her heart. Everyone should forgive her because she's solely responsible for Chad & Bridget being together- um, not exactly. They lived in the same city, had close family connections how is it impossible they wouldn't have eventually connected without her horrendous treatment of Bridget? Because it was completely within bounds to make Bridget feel like shit about her weight, about having a sexual relationship with Chad, or ruthlessly FORCING Bridget to date Chad. The ends do not justify the means. And I understand forgiveness, but she's never said sorry. I think I'm stupidly angry at a book. But I really HATE Alana, and Chandler- it's ok to not give a shit about Bridget but FUCK anyone who genuinely has a reason to dislike Alana. And what's with the misogynistic bullshit, saying his brothers had vagina's because they were "gossiping", or because Chad carries a fuchsia good luck charm from Bridget when he's playing ball.
Disappointed by the sex scenes, I shouldn't compare one book to another- but I could not get BDSM or any Dom vibe from Chandler- he just seemed like a pushy dick, after reading Kreley Cole's The Professional, all characters PALE next to Sevastian in that arena. But that's not a fault of the book, that's just me comparing apples to oranges.

Sorry, I was just so angry, I couldn't get passed EVERYTHING stupid about this couple or how I'm supposed to forgive. That scene with Bridget and Alana was intolerable, first she tried to buy Bridget to "date Chad so she's treating her like a prostitute. Then she's blackmailing Bridget by threatening her livelihood and dream job. Then she threatens to spin the story of their captured on camera kiss by calling her overweight and desperate. Fuck you. She invaded Bridget privacy, she forced an innocent woman to do whatever it took to get her way but it's cool because it's "her job".

Update: so I felt bad about trashing a book I didn't finish. there's an apology afterall- but its to Chad. that's missing whole damn point if you don't apologize to the right person. and the hug I. the Epilogue, and saying thank you for everything to Alana from Bridget. Fuck me.

I liked this one, but didn't love it. It was a nice conclusion to the Gamble Brothers series, though a bit underwhelming.

The steam and easy flow that I've come to expect was there, but I didn't feel as invested in Chandler and Alana's romance as I did with the previous brothers. Something didn't quite click for me to feel connected. I think my biggest problem was Alana. I didn't completely understand her commitment issues and her lack of sincerity or genuine emotion when dealing with people....including Chandler. She came off as a one-dimensional robot. I didn't feel anything from her.

Overall, a quick and steamy read that caught me up with all the Gamble brothers...including my favorite, Chad.

The Gamble brothers are back! And Chandler is the most sarcastic of the bunch. I love the sarcasm he had in this book. I swear you can never get enough sarcasm.

It was a good book. Chandler is sex on a stick - we all love those protectors, don't we?

3 "She's more evil than f**king Medusa on her period." Stars.

Tempting the Bodyguard is the third book in J. Lynn’s Gamble Brothers Series. Chase and Chad have met and fell in love with their matches and now it is time for Chandler.
From the offset you know what you are going to get from a book by

Jennifer, she does have a pretty formulaic way of writing, and although there is nothing wrong with that at all, I have read all three books over the past couple of weeks, and having done that it seems to highlight the similarities between each story. The dominant alpha male, the will they won’t they sexy times and the independent strong heroine. All good traits to have in a book, but I would like to see Jennifer step out of this premise and offer us something different.

I have really enjoyed getting to know each of the Gamble brothers and Chandler was no exception, tall, dark and handsome, and owner of CCG Security, which is what, leads Alana Gore to him. She’s being threatened, and after moving across country to start a new position, the threat seems to have followed her, in steps Chandler and his unique form of ‘close’ protection.

Not an ounce of emotion. Something about him, the intensity that bled into the air around him, told her that this man would be a violent storm if he ever lost control.

As you would expect the banter and general interaction between Chandler and Alana, as well as the secondary characters in the book is hugely entertaining, the sexy times when we finally get to them are hot and extremely well written and something I would like to have seen more of earlier in the book.

One great twist that I really liked was that Alana was the one with commitment issues in Tempting the Bodyguard, it was good to see Jennifer ‘buck’ the trend of having the guy be the one who is shy of commitment.

Chandler – “I won’t chase a ghost.”

I will be honest and say that even with all of her issues I struggled to like Alana, we initially met her in Tempting the Player and I think again because I really disliked her in that, and I remember the book due to having read it so recently, it was difficult to feel any sympathy for her in Tempting the Bodyguard. There were points though that you see past the cold, emotionless person that she portrays, and
I think Chandler’s dominance and presence of person was a perfect contrast to her.

She wanted a tomorrow and a weekend. She wanted a next week and a next month. She wanted a future, and she had never wanted that before.

Another enjoyable read from the Brazen catalogue, and I hope look forward to seeing what J. Lynn has to offer us next in this genre.

ARC provided by Entangled, and it was my pleasure to provide the above honest review.

This fed my brazen craving perfectly!
Have loved this series and the gamble brothers. And feels like i ad waited forever for Chandlers story. He did not disappoint! Falling hard and fast for Miss Gore. He was tender when she need it, hot and sexy just came naturally to him. Alana, has the reputation of "stic up her arse" from her PR work and she is not liked by the other Gamble brothers. But, Chandler hasn't stopped thinking about her since the first time he met her.
Alana goes to Chandler for his help after getting letters from a stalker. He owns CCG security. He looks into things and helps her out, her bodyguard.
The chemistry between them is hot. I loved the banter. The denying of her feelings for Chandler. Him making her realise how she feels about him.
Hot, yes. Sweet, yes. Sexy, yes. Predictable, yes (did it bother me, no!)

3.5 stars!

A great conclusion to a fun series! Tempting the Bodyguard is the story of Alana Gore, the infamous fixer sent to babysit Chad Gamble in the previous book. You know, she was the villain. Yipes! Anyways, it appears that poor Alana has developed a stalker for the past year, one that became much more threatening as of late and Alana finds herself in the position of needing to hire protection. Insert Chandler Gamble, brother of Chad, the sexy bodyguard who sent her senses into a tizzy after one meeting. Chandler is at first reluctant to help Alana as her situation does not seem dire, but pretty soon he realizes that A) Alana needs his help and B) he really, really wants a piece of Alana.

This was a seriously cute and funny book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. J. Lynn is one of my favorite authors and her books are always on auto-buy for me, hence the purchase of this one. J. Lynn switched things up a bit by making the female character the flighty commitment-phobe and the guy the one who had to chase after her. I personally LOVE stories where the heroine has to be convinced, and this one served up wonderfully! Sexy, steamy, made me giggle; I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys entertaining, quick, brain crack types of books and reading.

One problem? For those of you out there who watched Friends: whenever I saw the name Chandler, I mentally added "Bing" to the end of that. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! LOL!

I'm not saying there aren't people out there who'd enjoy this book, but I am not one of them. I put this book down too many times to count. I kept forcing myself to finish it, just to get it over with, all the while wishing I was someone who could just leave it be and not torture myself. Yet, I'm not one to DNF and thus I find myself here, regretting the time I spent reading this and hoping to learn my lesson. Again, the book might not be bad, it simply is not my cup of tea; too much smut and not enough substance, but if you're into that type of thing, then have at it.

I'm rating this book 4.25 stars. Honestly this was my favorite book in the series. I really liked Alana's character I was excited to read this book. She came off as a cold hearted bitch in the previous book. I liked her character a lot she's one of those characters that your heart goes out for. She was all alone no friends,no love life and no family. All she had was he career and that's why she acted the way she did. Her career was all she had. The only thing I didn't like about her character was her idea/worry she would turn out like her mother. The two characters fit perfectly together like puzzle pieces. The love story was perfect in my opioion not to fast or slow. Chandler was different from his brothers because he didn't fear commitment or love. That was new and I loved it. Chandler is a dominant character but not overbearly so. Also he never crossed that too much line for me. I was curious to see how this author would add the stalker into the plot. It was disappointing. I'm a fan of when stalkers are added to the plot but it was too predictable. I knew who the stalker was since I first met him in the story. The stalker was a very small part of the book not really a main component. This is not an action/thriller book at all it's purely romance. So if your looking for a action packed romance story this is not it. But I really liked and enjoyed this.

I adore J. Lynn, (Jennifer Armentrout) and there really hasn't been a single thing that she's written that I didn't find myself enjoying. I especially love her adult/new adult titles because she just gets it! Tempting the Bodyguard is the third in her Gamble Brothers Series and I was so excited to read it I dropped everything the day it was released and bought it immediately!

Alana & Chandler are like oil and water. It doesn't help that Alana did some pretty reprehensible things when she was representing Chad and trying to clean up his image. But when a stalker starts scaring her and threatening her, Alana can think of only one man who she wants protecting her. But Chandler has one rule... and it's that he doesn't protect anyone he wants to screw, and Alana is on his radar for sure.

It was really wonderful to finally get Alana's story - I do remember disliking her immensely in Chad & Bridget's book, but her story makes all her actions in that book make sense.

Another thing... this book is seriously hot. If you're looking for a dirty talker then this book needs to be on your radar. Each of the Gamble Brothers is so different and unique and I loved reading about each of them.

I will now be sitting over here hoping that Jen can scrounge up some other brothers to write about because I need more contemporary romance from her for sure!

21/6 - The mystery side of this book was pretty weak - Chandler hardly put much effort into working out who her stalker was and, other than declaring that it couldn't possibly be a past lover, Alana showed even less interest in her situation than Chandler - but the chemistry between Alana and Chandler was hot and sexy, which made up for the lack of mystery. I was also expecting the sex to be something a bit more on the 'kinky' side, considering where Alana tracked him down at the beginning, but that's just an observation not a complaint. I will make an effort to track down the rest of this series at the library (as opposed to picking them up by chance).
