My seventh teen novel, ALL I NEED, will be out May 2013. Cover reveal coming soon!
Initial reaction: Read this earlier this year and wasn't really taken by it because the relationship proceeded far too fast to really process. I still think Colasanti struggles to identify her audience, as some subjects are mature for presentation in this work, but the writing suggests that it's aimed towards a younger target audience.

Still debating on the rating, but I'm guessing 2 stars at this point.

1.5 stars I liked the other Colasanti book I read, but this one feels too short and sketched in. A whole year would pass by in a matter of a couple dozen pages, and everything felt too neat and unrealistically wrapped up at the end. None of the themes of separation, long distance relationships, first/real love, etc. are really explored in much depth. A disappointment in so many ways.

An advance copy was provided by the publisher for this review.

Skye just wants to meet the boy of her dreams, but the bonfire is the same every year - no one interesting ever comes to it. Seth wants to get over his ex-girlfriend and meet a girl he can learn to give his heart to again. When they meet each other at the bonfire, it's love at first sight. Spending the next 24 hours together, they make plans to meet the next morning and exchange contact information. But then something comes up and Seth is unable to make it. He heads off to college and Skye heads ...more

All I Need is another summer hit! This book is going to be flying off the shelves when it comes out. I love Susane's books. She writes with such emotion that when you are reading the book you can feel everything the characters are feeling. I laughed and I cried reading this book. Everyone teen girl dreams about her summer love and where it is going to happen and when and with whom but when it does happen they are not prepared. I laughed when I read the blurb because summer loves are the things ...more

I'm going to be completely honest right away....I read 2/3 of this book and then I just skimmed the last part. By skim, I mean I glanced through to see what happened but that's it. I could not get into this one at all.

Skye spends the summers at her beach house. Every year, there is a party on the beach and every year, Skye hopes to find "the one". Now, I remember being a teen and going to a party hoping that there was some cute boy there that I could flirt with. However, I never expected to

All I Need is a serendipity story about love, fate and soul mates.
Skye is a hopeless romantic who's in love with the idea of true love. She wants to be swept off her feet and this summer she finally meets the guy who can make her feel this way.
Seth is a broken mess after his girlfriend breaks up with him on graduation day no less. He hasn't been ready to put his heart out there again, that is till he sees Skye at a beach party and everything became clear. There are some people in this world

"How is it possible to feel like you've known someone your whole life when you just met him yesterday?"

You guys don't know how totally I'm into Summer Love. I always smell the beach and the bonfire and everything that is summery whenever I get to read summer romances, plus I missed reading Colasanti's work so everything about this book excites me.

The story started good with Sky meeting Seth on the beach and their two-day summer romance started. But due to life circumstances, they parted ways.

All I Need is a book that I have been dying to read. Not only are the cover and synopsis gorgeous, but it totally radiates a Spring/Summer feel. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the book. I’m not going to even rate the book, because I found it a little painful to read, and it’s not fair of me to judge it when I only got about 50 pages into it. But I am going to share my thoughts on it with all of you.

My first major complaint with All I Need

The romance and characters were so contrived, and I didn't believe their soul mate status in the first two chapters, so nothing in the rest of the book made me care about it at all. Full review at

When I said that Colasanti’s Something Like Fate was one of the blandest books I had ever read, I had yet read this book. It was completely juvenile and boring.
Personal response:
I really enjoy reading Susane Colasanti’s book. All I Need is a great book. There are a lot of plot twists to the story but overall it is an amazing book. I relate to some of the things Skye goes through during the book. It helps me to enjoy the book if I can relate to the characters.

Plot summary:
Skye, like any other girl, wants a real love connection. She even dreams about her being with her soulmate. At her summer beach house in Sea Bright, there is a beach with a little sand

I've actually read every single book by the masterful chick-lit writer, Susane Colasanti. This woman actually knows what she's doing in terms of having readers fall in love with her writing, and I know that I'm not the only one who is. After seeing her at BEA (but not being able to go up since they didn't allow anyone else to go) I've realized how much of an extraordinary author she is and how I

I was so excited to read All I Need. I saw Susane Colasanti speaking about it at the Teen Author Carnival and got to meet her at BEA, and she was great. And All I Need sounded like the perfect summer read. But it didn't end up working for me - the characters annoyed me, and their relationship was too instalove-y.

The story starts out with Skye and Seth meeting at a beach party at the end of summer. They see each other, and instantly know they're soulmates. Yup. Finally, a novel with instalove.

All I Need PJV Quickie: All I Need is a snapshot of two lives where they intersect for a brief moment in time and then meet again a year later. There’s love, lust, and heartache, sprinkled with a dash of luck for good measure. And while it was a perfectly nice story, it just didn’t hook me.

Skye is 17 and wonders if she’s ever going to meet “the one”. Every year her family spends summer at the beach, and every year she vows to meet someone special. This year, at the final party of the

Ah, love. Sweet, instant love at first sight. How I totally doubt your existence. Lust at first sight? Attraction at first sight? Sure. But love?

But Seth and Skye know instantly that they have a connection when they meet at an end-of-summer cookout. But due to outside circumstance, they only get to spend two days together before being torn apart, without having exchanged contact info. Commence the moping. And the constant talking about each other to friends, who are kind enough to not say

I've read many books by Susane Colasanti before, and enjoyed them. So, when I saw this book at a used book sale, I picked it up without seeing what it was about. While I enjoyed her other books, this book was most definitely not for me. If I read the synopsis beforehand, I would've known that. This book was just way too cheesy.

This book is told in dual POV between Seth and Skye. The two meet over the summer for one night, but

A girl named Skye and her friends were hanging out at a beach party. Sky met a boy named Seth. Soon enough Skye and Seth started hanging out every day. They both started falling in love with each other, but they kept it to themselves.

Summer was over, and Seth had to go to college. They made a time and date to say their goodbyes and share contact information. Seth woke up and his parents were already ready to go. He didn’t have time to say goodbye to Skye, so he wrote his address and number on a

My girls really like some of the Colasanti titles, but this is more young adult, with mentions of sex, an f-bomb, and a general air of whininess about how much better life would be with a boyfriend that made me want to slap Skye. Get your own life, THEN find someone to share it.

AH! Another adorable book by an adorable person. This book was unique in that it explored the dynamics of a couple that was already together. One was in college, the other still in high school; this meant they really had to work to keep their relationship strong. I really enjoyed how the characters had to struggle to stay together, because it became a much more realistic story. This book definitely had warm fuzzies, but at the same time offered true relationship - and life -

In the book All I Want, author Susane Colasanti tells the love story between Skye and Seth. I LOVED this book, the romance along with frustrating heartbreak made the book hard to put down. I also love a happy ending, and this book did just that for me. All I Want was published in 2013, and I have read several times since then. Skye and Seth meet one another at the last beach party of summer, as they made eye contact throughout the night, they finally met face to face. Sparks were instantly ...more

2.5/5 stars.

The plot of the book is... Two people falling in love instantly. That's pretty much all I got from it. The characters all seemed to have one or two traits, and I didn't really identify with Skye or Seth all that much. I read the entire book waiting for it to get more interesting but it remained pretty straightforward and flat. A decent romance, but nothing super special.

Honestly, I felt like I was reading something I would have written in 8th grade. Which was probably also the last time I used the phrase “This rules!” which these characters used all the time. Disappointed.

This was a fast, pretty cute, and usual long-distance-relationship story. It was full of clichés, but it was still quite entertaining, even though the main characters made me roll my eyes from time to time.

Before I even jump into any of this review, I feel the need to disclose something: I don’t believe in soulmates. I’ve had varying reactions to this, both online and in real life, when people find out. Some people are just like “ok, that’s cool” and move on; others share my sentiments; and I’ve had a few that are straight up offended, like I’ve just insulted their very core belief. And maybe I have, I’m not in

Why did I get so much mutual feelings about this book? I care to read this short piece of sweet-heart-pounding book by Colasanti! It made me decide that I'll read more of her books. :)

At first, it was a spontaneous story about love at first sight. But then, as I paved my way through reading this fantastic book of a typical summer love story, I had so much to relate about it between my girlfriend and I. The story's just as the same as ours but the thing is, it's nicely done. I'm happy about how
