Looking at the reviews for this book you may be tempted to pass it up. I almost was. I am so VERY glad that I didn't. I think that whether or not you will enjoy this book depends on what you are looking for when you pick it up. A large amount of erotica this book isn't. (While there are some scenes they are mild compared to even some of the author's other works.) However, a well thought out, imaginative story that draws you in this story it absolutely is. The author does a WONDERFUL job of pulli ...more

Dragon's Heart is the story of Mya and Draakar. Thousands of years ago, dragons roamed free on the Earth, only to be pushed out by man with the help of a dragon they end up calling The Betrayer. When the dragons decided to leave Earth for their home realm, Akgon, some decided to stay behind and assume normal human lives. Skip ahead a few millenium and we find that The Betrayer, who was thought to be dead, is alive and on Earth. Along with that, t

LaVerne Thompson has done a great job of creating her own world of powerful dragon-shifters and their struggles and loves. Recommend to dragon fans.

I anticipated reading this book for a long time, but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. Not a terrible book but it was lacking. I'll read the next in the series because I do have hope.

Great Dragon Story!!!

I loved all the imagery and background to all the characters it was very in depth. This book centers on Draakar and Maya but has enough of the other characters to keep you reading just to find out more about everything. Talon is sent ahead of his father Draakar to Earth to seek out and find his truemate to help restore and replenish the energies/magicks of the Brethren, since they seem to be rapidly diminishing. Upon arrival on Earth he stumbles across Maya who he realizes i

WOW!!! I am speechless and I loved this book and can't to read the next!!I loved that Maya Trent thought to try to save the teenage boy. She was on a vacation to try to figure her life and future. Since she arrived, she has dreamed three nights in a row about a black dragon with emerald eyes. She informed previous tour guide that she wanted to see the site and she was going back to look again. I loved her take charged way. I loved that Draakar set aside his life to do what was best for the Breth ...more
Did not finish at 33%. I tried, I really tried. It looked so promising but it was really hampered by clunky, awkward writing and a severe lack of editing. It reads like fan fiction.

What an awesome romance story about dragons. Not just your typical dragons but ones that can take human form. How cool is that? The race is dying though and a true love must be found.

I loved this story. What a great idea making dragon be able to turn human and be able to go through portals. These are noble dragons. In this story dragon was never evil, rumors was just spread to make them seem bad. In order to save their race they had to go to their home planet and now the race is dying and the m

This book has the unwanted honour to be the first one for which I asked for a refund. I wasn't willing to bin 6$ on it.

I found it really unreadable. Plot, characters, writing, everything was all over the place. Midway nothing had happened, and I mean nothing.
Characters said something and behaved in a different way.
The writing is atrocious (my apologies to the author, this is simply the way I experienced it.)

There are no reasons for the heroine to remain and hear him out. She keeps saying so, ke

If you love a book that can draw you in to the point that you clearly envision the story than Dragon's Heart is right up your ally! Once again LaVerne Thompson creates a world where her characters come to life right before the reader's eyes. A world where majestic dragons once ruled and the present time come together for a battle of survival. The story of Draakar's quest to save his kind from total annihilation while searching the human realm for his true mate will have you cheering from beginni ...more

The mythology of the world these dragons inhabit is well thought out. The problem lies in the execution.
