I had the privilege of seeing this book in many different states of creation. I was blown away by the completed product. Lupi McGinty is a very talented artist and a great story teller. This book is not only visually stunning but the story is also unique, funny and animated! We picked up a copy for our daughter's first Christmas and as a present for two of our playgroup friends. My son loved “Lolly Poppet’s Lousy Year” with the silly story line and fun character - who has a little streak of bad luck. Cute story with wonderful illustrations!

This book was really cute. The illustrations are really great and the story line is cute. I also love that the story is in both English and Spanish. The message is also great. Lolly learns to be happy with her current situation, rather than wish for the next time to come.
