This book started really well. I was hooked after the 2-3 first pages. Unfortunately, my interest didn't last very long. I found the reading of this novel to be quite redundant. I felt like I was looking at the same passage over and over again. The story is not uninteresting, yet I feel like there are too many superfluous words and pages to express a simple narrative. The story does not revolutionize anything: it is one that is well of its time. The relationships are very contemporary, very fast ...more

Recommends it for: millennials
After reading The Label Maker, I'm confused about why it received such low reviews. I thought it a was a very deep social commentary on our society's addiction to social media and caffeine. I thought is was cleverly written and I liked how the plot was progressed through conversations ( "face to face" interactions). Maybe it was just easier for me to relate to Joe since I agree with his view of the world. I thought it was entertaining and worth the read.

P.S. I won this book through a goodreads

I would like to thank MacKenzie Stilton and Ripple Books for the opportunity to read "The Label Maker". The Travel Page, to document where the book has traveled, at the beginning of the book was a fun addition.

Initially I really enjoyed the book (up to maybe page 100). I liked the creativity the author used in creating cyber versions of apps and companies in "The Label Maker" universe that parallel the real world. However, the story became repetitive and there was little plot for much of the bo

I received this book free in return for a review.

Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I have no clue what it´s supposed to be about. The main character is called Joe and he has a brother. mother, dead father and step-father, I think.

He seems be a sort of travelling salesman selling some sort of pharmaceutical/s. He has male friends and colleagues but I can´t tell the difference between them. His friend Eddie turned out to be his motor bike, He also has female friends and colleagues, where th

*I received this book through goodreads' giveaways*

I found this book very difficult to finish. The story is dull and seems to be leading nowhere and when it does lead somewhere, it seems too far-fetched to me to be something that would actually happen. I don't find Joe a very interesting character and his interactions with other people all seem to be the same. It is also very confusing when characters talk, since there is nothing to indicate who is saying what.

It has some moments of good descrip
