Erin's trip, going five days through the Florida keys, certainly doesn't compare with stories of around the world solo sailing. The author does provide a view into the life of a Type 1, and shows while it has it's challenges, she certainly can live life fully and pursue her goals. The book made me miss living in California. ...more

Islands and Insulin

I really enjoyed reading this book. It taught me a lot about type 1 diabetes and how hard it is to handle all the insulin, carbs, highs, and lows.
