The exercises are great because there are pictures to demonstrate along with workout combinations. Recipes are okay and would be better if pictures of the food were included.

I started looking for a book about juicing as I've just watched Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead, a fascinating documentary by an Australian Joe Cross. It's on YouTube. Check it out. After a false start (put juicing into Goodreads Listopia search and see what you find!) I came across this book. As I'm Paleo and a bit obsessive (my partner's word not mine) about fitness I thought I'd give it a go.

You want to know how to develop the physique of old? Basically the cave man physique? This is the book to do it.

This book focuses all on functional fitness and how it'll help you in your everyday life. Granted we are not like our ancestors anymore and don't hunt for food and what not but if you want functional fitness in your everyday life then here you go.

I've read quite a few articles and books on weight lifting programs and I've tried quite a few myself, but there aren't too many resources

Great introduction to the paleo movement, with a section dedicated to nutrion (a little too superficial for me) and another dedicated to fitness (very good). The book also includes a very nice fitness program, which I intend on following for the next weeks and that seems very well balanced, to improve overall health and full body strength. I was actually even glad that the nutrition part is short, for I still don't buy into paleo nutrition (I'm actually a vegan and am more into the Thrive diet ...more

This book is not huge but I am actually viewing that as a positive. Some of the fitness books that are huge are so full of fluff and you never seem to get to the meat of the information. Paleo Fitness is 176 pages and jam packed full of great information. There is information about nutrition, Paleo workouts and multiple different levels so you can benefit from this book no matter what fitness level you are at. I've been following a Paleo lifestye for several years and have been active and in sports pretty much my whole life and I learned so much from this book. Darryl explains the nutritional reasoning so everyone can understand it. He leads you through an eating plan so that it will become second nature to you and educates you about movement. I was kindly given this book as a gift and have found it very helpful in understanding how to improve my health. It is written in a clear and concise way helping you to incorporate Paleo exercise and concepts into daily life. I most enjoy the aspects on nutrition, it dispels the myths!

This is not a book you "read" from cover to cover. It has a good description of paleo and what it entails, covering the part about eating very thoroughly. I think the exercises in this are similar to some crossfit techniques. I photo copied the ones I liked. I feel good after doing these, and I definitely feel like I'm using lots of different muscles. Amazing book! I'm already fitter and stronger after 2 weeks! My arms are toned and I e never been able to tone them! I have muscle loss in my leg from an operation and I can finally feel those muscles working! Cannot recommend this highly enough!

This book has become my fitness Bible. I get board easily with working out, but this books teaches you to "play-out" not work-out. We all should be able to do these movements without any problem, but many of us(me) cannot not. I love trying and I am having fun. I actually look forward to doing it.

Although I am not a native English speaker, this book was easy to follow. Finally I have found a book that is very logical and clear. What I really love about this book is that I discovered that breakfast can be more than just a few boiled eggs (which I have been used to eating for the last 2 years). Now I have a number of alternative, quick breakfasts. The structured meal plan makes the paleo diet easier to follow as it means I don't have to question is something Paleo or not. A great introduction to the Paleo lifestyle and Paleo fitness. I have completed the 12 week movement programme on several occasions now and am pleased with the results and variety. Some of the more advanced workouts are not for beginners, but Level I caters for most individuals without issue. An excellent value for money purchase.

If you want not only a great introduction to Paleo, fitness and natural movement then you'll be disappointed as it actually offers far more! A great book that has a 12-week exercise programme which I completed and loved it so much I am doing it again. A worthy addition to the collection
