This was a scorcher of a read!

Where book 1 was more YA Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance, book 2 is very much Epic Fantasy combining romance, mystery and mayhem. With thrill a minute action and adventure, and a plethora of endearing characters, it ranks amongst the likes of bestsellers, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings!

The story begins where book 1 left off. Aurora finds herself in the realm where she truly belongs, and it was exciting to get to know the characters and beings of this real

Okay I’m torn with this book. It started at a 3 because I could easily put the book down, and it was like it was the first book in a series because now that Aurora was in a new world, we all have to learn about this new world with her. It seems as she went down the rabbit hole so to speak into this new world that she left all her confidence in the other realm. This annoyed me because I

Sequels can be tricky. You want them to be as good, as captivating as the first instalment, yet you also want them to progress the story in a way that evolves the characters and relationships you’ve become accustomed to. Embracing the Flames is US author, Candace Knoebel’s second instalment in the Born in Flames trilogy, and with all eyes on the progeny, Aurora must learn to adapt in the new world we find her in, as well as come to terms of what is expected of her.

The story picks up five months after the end of 'Born in Flames' during training in the other realm. Aurora is learning about her magic and her dragon side, driving herself with every scrap of energy in the name of the people and realms that she loves. She has accepted the enormous responsibility of being the only hope; fortunately, she as a lot of great support from familiar characters and new. Embracing the Flames is a great sequel to Born in Flames and I enjoyed it just as much. Aurora, Fenn & Lexi are now firmly back where they belong and are being trained for the battle that is to come. Things aren’t straight forward as some people aren’t being as honest as they should and leads to a fair few revelations with some very serious consequences for all involved. As Zordon starts building his armies in preparation for wh

This book was amazing, but I have one complaint! It was far too long! I normally read a book in a couple of days and this book took me about a week to read! I was reading it and it felt like I was just continuing to read it and it was kind of never ending! It was amazing though and I t

When we last left Aurora and Fenn in Born in Flames, they had just returned to their true home and were reunited with long last family. And Embracing the Flames starts pretty close to where we left off, picking up with Aurora and Fenn training for the fight of their lives.

In Embracing the Flames Candace Knoebel gives us lots more magic, lots more dragon and a lot more heat. The magic that Candace Knoebel used was faintly reminiscent of Harry Potter as the mage had to literally vocalize spells i

Embracing the Flames is another fantastic novel written by none other than Candace Knoebel. Through this novel you get a more in-depth look into the new life of Aurora. With Born in Flames ending on a note of excitement as her whole world changes this second novel will leave you on the edge at every moment. From the first chapter things are exciting and full of new found wonder and as it progresses, things change and the guessing game of thinking you know what will happen; doesn't work.

This is the Second book in the Born in Flames Trilogy. The first book was great but the second was beyond amazing. It was like being sucked through a portal to another world. I already knew the characters so it was much easier to get emotionally evolved but with Candace's writing you come to love the characters for all there attitudes, quirks and faults. This story is full of all kinds of supernatural beings. Witches, Mages, Dragons, Fates just to name a few. The character development in the boo ...more

Uhm, so this book was uhhhhmaaaaaaZING…I decided that sleep was unimportant to me just so that i could finish this book…since i work two jobs that was almost stupid of me BUT i didn’t care because this was just as wonderful except more kick ass than the first one! Alex is super kick ass and i found there was much more action in this one than the first. I know i held my breath every couple of chapters and rushed to read through it. There was indeed more tragedy and heartbreak in this book but i f ...more

Rory, Fenn and Zane are all back in this exciting conclusion to Born in Flames. Rory is coming into her own, learning her way in a new realm, preparing for battle and trying to embrace her inner Dragon without loosing herself along the way. Zane does anything and everything he can in an attempt to redeem himself, but there's only one man for Rory.

There are familiar faces as well as a few new characters to captivate and entice readers. Knoebel stays true to the characters she created in the first

After the fast paced action of Born in Flames, I was really looking forward to what Aurora would be faced with next, but the first chapters fell flat. It wasn't bad (that really wouldn't be fair), but it definitely had a much slower pace and concentrated heavily on Aurora's emotions and back story. She was waiting, and so was I.

But the story doesn't stay that way. When everything finally got going, it was great - even better than before. Aurora is faced against a real opponent and a nasty one at

Embracing the Flames by Candace Knoebel

I loved Embracing the Flames, truly loved it such a amazing read. Embracing the Flames is the second book in the Born in Flames trilogy, it starts off where Born in Flames ends, with Aurora accepting her fate, her destiny, with the help of Fenn, Astral, as well as some great and possibly not so great friends.
Like Born in Flames, Embracing the Flames grabs on to you and does not let go, (seriously I read it in one sitting) there is more danger, adventure, r

I received an eARc copy of this book to read for a blog tour in return for an honest review. I have to say that at first the book seemed very long and drawn out and it took me longer to read than normal. I had no trouble putting it aside and reading another book. But as the story progressed, it started to get better and the action was phenomenal. I loved the action and suspense in it. The characters were still magnificent and lovable. There were times that I knew something would happen and then ...more

Aurora Jay Megalos is a mage searching for a title, the reason for her existence. She moves into a realm where magic and warfare govern those who live there, and makes many discoveries on her journey. There are others who assist her, but it is up to her to find the reason she came to be, and why she is connected to a particular practitioner of the dark arts.

Embracing the Flames has a slow, almost boring start, but picks up speed soon. The reader soon finds themselves lost in the story of Aurora,

I really had a hard time keeping my attention to this story. I had a hard time keeping track of all the different characters who kept changing their allegiance to the good side. There were several place that were just downright confusing. When Rory, Fenn, and two others were supposed to stay hand in hand then all of a sudden dividing up? Candace Knoebel has done it once again. Embracing The Flames is just as awesome as her first book "Born In Flames". I could not put it down, till I was finished.

The characters are loveable and you need to know more, actually not need, you have to know more. The story is fabulous and sucks you in and does not let you go till the very last word and then you are mad as you need to wait for the next book. The book moves along at an awesome pace and does not slow down till the end.

This book is full of non stop action. Candace has outdone herself in this story..I was sucked in since the first page..This book is the second in the Trilogy. Aurora goes through hell in this book. This is a Young Adult book.. But it is so darn good. This story is compelling and intriguing. I loved every moment of the book. I can not wait for the final book to come out..I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Book #2 I enjoyed..This book followed up where the first ended.Back in her own realm and still trying to find a way to Zordon. With a bunch of shocking twists and turns made me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I loved the versus to the songs and prophecy! they fit right into the book. I was a little confused on the character Lexi.. It seemed she had a bunch of mood swings. The way this book ended left wanting to read the next book and im so excited to see how it will go!!!

I'm pretty sure I liked this about the same as this first, if not a little it more. The noel isn't really all that complex but at the same time, it has different dynamics to it, that keep you desperate to follow the story. Can't wait for the third and final novel!
