Christina Freeburn's first Faith Hunter Scrap This Mystery immediately begins building tension and an air of mystery. An ex-JAG turned scrapbook store employee, Faith Hunter scrambles to please her grandmothers and keep her former military life private. Both prove to be difficult for Faith, especially after her friend is charged with murder. Faith's dogged determination to prove her friend innocent places Faith's other relationships on the line and threatens to expose secrets she has determined ...more

Christina Freeburn's CROPPED TO DEATH is exactly the kind of book to read when you're looking for a fun, crafty mystery. Her protagonist, Faith Hunter, is former JAG and current owner of Scrap This, a scrapbooking store. I've never been a scrapbooker, but the way Freeburn writes about the store made me want to find the nearest paper shop and buy a couple of sheets just incase I decided to start a new hobby.

My favorite part of the book wasn't the mystery or the scrapbooking, it was the fact that

Faith Hunter Scrap This Mystery was a very entertaining story. Faith has returned home to Eden, West Virginia and her grandmothers after a disastrous situation. Even her grandmothers do not know the whole story. She worked for JAG in the armed forces and her husband has ended up in jail. I really liked Faith and wanted her to be able to share her secrets with her friends. The store where she works, owned by her grandmothers, sounds like a great place to hang out. The group of ladies are all grea ...more

“Cropped To Death” is a cozy mystery that exceeds expectations. The author, Christina Freeburn, writes what she knows: scrapbooking and small-town West Virginia life. As a West Virginian who scrapbooks and runs a scrapbooking retreat for women, I was excited to get my hands on an Advance Reader Copy. The 290-page book, published by Henery Press, will be on sale Nov. 20, but you can pre-order it now from Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.

Not only does the heroine, Faith Hunter, work in a scrapboo

I enjoyed this book and my first foray into the world of scrapbooking and crops. I know absolutely nothing about scrapbooking, but I found I was learning as I read along. Faith Hunter's Scrap This scrapbooking store sounds like a fun place to hang out, and Faith is a great character but has some secrets she would prefer to be kept that way. When one of her employees is arrested for murdering her estranged husband at a scrapbooking convention, she begs Faith to solve the mystery and clear her nam ...more

Faith comes home to help out at her grandma's scrapbook store. She's excited for the big scrap meet until the murder happens. She's not about to let her friend and coworker go down for something she didn't do.

Cropped to Death by Christina Freeburn is the first book in the Faith Hunter Scrap This Mystery series. Faith has returned from an army JAG career to work in her grandmother's scrapbooking store. When her friend is accused of killing her husband, Faith is asked to investigate. A nice introduction to the series, although I thought parts of it were not very believable. I liked the characters, especially the hooligans, whose reactions were funny. The mystery itself was a bit slow and a bit of a let ...more

"Cropped to Death" Christina Freeburn creates a cozy mystery that left me itching to learn the art of scrapbooking! The author transports the reader to the tiny town of Eden, WV where everything comes down to family, and no one gave it a second thought when Faith Hunter left her career in JAG, the US Army's special forces group, to return home to help her grandmothers Hope and Cheryl run their scrapbooking store called Scrap This. Something happened though that sent Faith home to the hills of WV ...more

Christina Freeburn's "CROPPED TO DEATH" is the first Faith Hunter Scrap This Mystery and was exactly the kind of book I wanted to read. It was a fun, crafty mystery, being a scrapbooker I enjoyed combining my two interests mysteries and crafting.

The characters are well thought out and the protagonist, Faith Hunter, a former JAG and now current owner of Scrap This, is realistic . There is just the right amount of humour, romance, family dynamics, crafting and of course mystery, to make this a gr

This is such a great idea for a mystery series! Faith Hunter is a capable, smart heroine who wants to prove to her grandmothers that she can take care of the family business (I loved that both of her grandmothers own the shop together). When a friend is accused of offing her philandering hubby, Faith is sucked into the investigation trying to prove her friend's innocence.

What follows is a fun ride of a mystery that kept me guessing into the final chapters. The scrapbooking layout ideas and tips

When an employee at a scrapbook hobby shop gets arrested for murder, her employer and part-owner goes out on a mission to prove her innocence. This book is full if mystery, suspense, drama and scrapbooking! I really enjoyed this novel and the characters Christina created. Faith Hunter is spunky, determined and full of vigor. This book was full of mystery. You know i guess you pretty much expect that from the title of the book. Lol. However this book was boring in the beginning but by end of the 2nd chapter it had me. It really did :D. The guy died and now everyone close to him are immediate suspects. His ex-wife is the first one on the list. But when you find out who killed him, you would have never expected it. Trust me. I myself was shocked. It was, i dont even know how to tell you how great of a book it was :D. D ...more

As Cropped to Death by Christina Freebum opens, Faith Hunter stands at her family’s scrapbooking shop and watches as fellow employee Marilyn crops her husband’s face out of all of her photos. A fun cozy mystery!

When Faith Hunter returns to her West Virginia hometown, she wants nothing more than to live a quiet life. However when one of her employees is suspected of murder, Faith cannot stand by silently. So, she begins her own investigation to discover the identity of the true culprit.

I enjoyed the book. I loved Faith's grandmothers. They were a really fun addition to the book. I adore scrapbooking, and I thought that it was very well incorporated into the story.

If you like every cozy mystery trope there is... This might be the book for you. Not only did it have an arrogant and handsome detective but a snarky female main character as well. At the 45 percentile mark, nothing of any significance has been found and the story lagged badly. The main character, Faith, keeps hinting at a difficult past and a bad separation from JAG but never explains in detail what actually happened. And at this point, I don't really care. The constant hinting was starting to ...more

Entertaining cozy mystery. No matter how many times Faith thinks she solved the murder or is helping, it always backfires. Ted or Steve? Not looking for romance yet two hot guys are always around. Questions to keep you reading. Just bought second in the series.
