This book is very heartwarming, touching and a light read. I enjoyed every bit of it. As you can see, I only read the book for a day, or maybe less than a day, because I can't seem to stop turning the pages. :-)

I LOVED IT!!
I know, I know, there are some parts that a bit "unsatisfying" such as Ryder's own problem that up until the end didn't really clear, the closure between Todd (I wanna see him suffer, damn it!) and Grace, plus the end for Kiery? Yep, that bitch needs to suffer.
This book is surprisingly good for YA. Even though the basic plot is pretty much predictable and cliche, yet I find myself in tears when I read the scene where Grace and her mum embracing each other. It's easy to close your e ...more

From the very beginning of this novel I found myself lost in the imagery that Kage so masterfully created. She used it to create a phenomenal backdrop and surreal descriptions for her story. She also brings the symbolism of color in both art and literature to the forefront of her descriptions and the story itself. These all come together seamlessly to create a story that you get completely lost in.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I feel about this book.... the writing is amazing, Linda Kage does a wonderful job at painting pictures so vivid you feel as if you're in the book and in all honesty I adored the characters. But I struggled with them too... They're teenagers, which means I've come to expect a few things out of the mouths of teenagers... especially teenage boys!

The Color of Grace is a heart-gripping love story. Linda Kage always touches my heart with laughter and tears in her novels. It's based for the young adult, which was a good change of pace for me.
The book starts off with Grace and her BFF Bridget taking pictures of the basketball game for the school yearbook. Grace wasn't in the best of moods. Their team was playing the very team that will soon be Grace's new school's team.

Linda Kage's The Color of Grace is fabulous! Kage's writing style flows easily and engages readers immediately. Grace is such an endearing character; it's so easy to become wrapped up in her life, her problems, and hopes. The colour of Grace was an enjoyable, emotional read and I really enjoyed it. I love Linda Kage's books and since most days I mentally feel 17 I enjoy YA fiction. This is another beautifully written story. It is something that can be recommended to a teenager. However, there are two of my pet hates in it: the obligatory YA/NA fight; and unwillingness to report sexual assault. In this case it questionably wasn't assault but there was still the behaviour of being closed-mouthed, not wanting to "create waves".

I thought this was a very well written story that really sucked you into the more serious side of teenage life. oh young love! my heart flutters just thinking about this truly amazing book. Grace's character is so truthful that i'm pretty sure a lot of girls can relate to. To be honest I really didn't expect to enjoy this book that much. The synopsis didn't do much for me and I didn't like the cover either (sorry). I was only interested because I'm always looking for the next best YA contemporary romance. But just 4% into the book (says my Kindle app)... MAN WAS I HOOKED. In the midst of vampires, werewolves, witches, angels, and dystopians, it's sometimes really amazing to find a story where the characters are real, living, and dealing with situations that occur every day in real life, and then watching them work their way through those challenges. Linda Kage's The Color of Grace gave me exactly that. This story wasn't high concept, gimmicky, or following a current trend, and that's exactly what I loved about it.

I was looking to read a good contemporary YA, so I thought I would start 'The Color of Grace'. It seemed like it would be cute, but I wasn't sure what to expect. I liked Linda Kage's last YA novel, but it didn't blow me away. But this one? Consider me a huge fan. I really enjoyed this story. I read it in one sitting, stayed up all night to finish it. It definitely pulls you in. I really liked the characters. Grace was a nice character to get to know. She seemed so real. I felt everything she went through, which was A LOT. It seems like the book follows a long time period, but it's really just a few weeks time.

I was contacted by the author to review this book. After I read the blurb, I thought it sounded interesting and read it. WOW! I was so wrong about this book. The blurb does it NO JUSTICE!! IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!! I read this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. Is this another story of a girl moving to a new school, then ending up with the famous jock? Yup is it! Sometimes, it gets tiring to read the same kind of stories over and over again, but the the other part of the story made me continue reading.
