Searching for his missing father, Richard Braeth journeys to Kohltri, an extremely dangerous planet where his father went searching for a priceless treasure
This was a very good read and not at all what I thought I'd get.
Taking place on a backwater lone planet where anarchy reigns and the citizens are the type to shoot first, ask questions later. We meet quite a few other life forms aside from humans, and get to see a glimpse of their lives through Rik. It's fast paced for the most part, a lot happens, there's some stuff that made me laugh, and others that made me sad.
If you enjoy action, space, 'wild west' settings, with some fantasy sprinkled in, then you'll like this book too.
To keep away any spoilers I will admit to being surprised a certain woman wasn't involved in something, and I'm still skeptical where she ended up. iykyk.
A standard story of Exploration and dead alien civilizations. The adventure moves quickly and deftly with a likable protagonist you can lose your self in as he uncovers mystery after mystery in this Universe which is populated by technologies and civilizations both Alive and Dead.
