Sensitive, the sequel to Homefree, follows sixteen-year-old Easter Hutton through her first weeks at the mysterious Fairless Grove Academy. The academy is the headquarters of Homefree, an agency dedicated to helping teens with paranormal abilities learn how to use their gifts. Easter discovers that in addition to her unusual talents for time travel, astral projection, and invisiblity, she is a Sensitive - someone who can communicate with spirits.

Using her paranormal skills, Easter is called upon to settle a two-hundred-year-old misunderstanding while also dealing with her best friend s mental breakdown, her own forbidden passions, and the whereabouts of her missing mother.

About the author

An actor turned playwright and novelist, Nina Wright is a member of the Authors Guild and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She writes the humorous Whiskey Mattimoe mystery series for adults as well as books for younger readers. Nina holds master's degrees in English literature and applied linguistics. She has taught creative writing, speech, drama, English lit, and English as a Second Language to adults and teens.

Nina's first love is story-telling . . . on both the page and the stage. She's also passionate about teaching others to find their own voices so that they can tell their stories.

I liked this book because of the supernatural powers that these characters presented. I think anyone who reads this book will love the main character, Easter Hutton, since she is sarcastically witty and intelligent. This book is recommended to people who love the X-Men and Heroes because there is a mix of both series in the story; the characters in this book are people who have extraordinary powers and attend a school to learn to control them, just like the X-Men, and if you have ever watched NBC’s hit show, then you will be able to sense the Heroes-like humor. Overall, it is just another fun book to read.

Now, I read this book not realising it was a sequel, and while I enjoyed it, since I hadn't read the first book it took me a while to understand what was going on.
I quite liked Easter as a character, and how she handled the news that she was a Sensitive. I also (quite sadistically) enjoyed her realtionship with her mother.
However, I hated the ending. Especially when it was revealed that her mother also had the same 'problems' as Easter, she immediately died and for no reason.
It was an okay book, but not the best I've read this year.

I did like the first book better but this one was good also. Easter,Cal and Andrew arrived at Homefree. They didn't know why they had to come so early and that no one was there except for another teenage girl. They had to get jobs when they thought they were going to learn about their talents. Shortly thereafter mysterious things start to happen. Ghost appear and not in a good way. Easter thought she would have a break from her crazy mom but no. All questions are answered but I want to know what happens next.

I loved this book. The last page has the word End. I really wish there was more to this series. I would love to find out the verdict of how they where with the school.

When I turned the last page, I told myself "and that's it ?!"... This story could have been interesting, but the plot is not enough developed...
