My opinion of "Enemy at the Wedding" shifted several times during the course of reading the book. I had read its predecessors "Strangers on This Road" and "Danger in Academia" back-to-back and was predisposed to like it based upon my enjoyment of those installments. I had given those books solid 4-star ratings, but didn't feel compelled to write a review until I was midway through "Enemy at the Wedding." I gave it a 4-star rating, but it's not a solid 4. Okay so I get most of my books free and came across books 1-8 free somehow I read book two first and then went beck when I realized I had all eight,. So I started reading and couldn't put them down. I loved the books for the most part. The characters in books 1-4 are my favorite. Book 7 was a bit boring dealing with stolen id instead of murder, book eight took a few chapters to bring in some of the other characters. I enjoyed this book, but the rating is more a 3 1/2 than a 4 (hence the 3.
I'm enjoying this series and seeing the characters develop, although at times, I still feel as though there needs to be more depth to them.
