A well rounded review of everything significant about the Antarctic peninsula and its effect on the surrounding continent (and vice versa). The chapters are written with authority and explanation understandable by a layperson like myself! With a view toward the future and not neglecting the human aspect this is a great read for anyone interested to know more about so remote a place and the factors that make it unique.
